Walk into the Woods

Life can feel full.

Work. Family. Responsibilities. The endless mental checklist.

If you've found yourself longing for a little more space, a little more quiet, or simply a chance to catch your breath, I'd love to welcome you to Walk into the Woods.

Over six gentle evenings in Warren Woods, we'll step away from the busyness of everyday life and into a slower rhythm. Together we'll walk, pause, breathe and spend time among the trees through guided meditation, gentle movement and quiet reflection.

No experience is needed—just a willingness to come as you are.

Kent Wellbeing Alliance is a growing network connecting people, services and organisations across Kent who are passionate about supporting wellbeing within the community.

Creating spaces for connection, support and shared understanding is such an important part of wellbeing, especially in a world that can often feel fast-paced and isolating.

At Compass Therapies, we really value the importance of compassionate, accessible support and the role community plays in helping people feel seen, heard and connected.

Sometimes it’s not obvious at first.

It builds up slowly.

A few things here and there.
Not quite having space to process.

Until one day it just feels like… a lot.

And you’re not always sure why.

You don’t have to carry that on your own.

Does this feel familiar to you?

Katy, our Director, recently attended a CAST workshop and CPD event exploring supervision through the lens of Internal Family Systems (IFS) with Liz Thompson.

While travelling, she took a moment to pause at the station, noticing the blue sky, the sound of trains, and birdsong.

A small but meaningful moment of stillness.

These in-between spaces can offer a chance to slow down and reflect.

Ongoing learning and reflection are an important part of therapeutic work.

They allow space for curiosity, growth and deeper understanding, both personally and professionally.

Where do you find small moments of pause in your day?

Therapy isn’t about fixing you.

It’s about:

• understanding yourself
• exploring your experiences
• noticing patterns
• finding new perspectives
• feeling heard without judgement

You are not something to be fixed.

You are someone to be understood.

What do you think therapy is for?

Sometimes emotional overwhelm isn’t caused by one big event.

It’s:

• lots of small things building up
• not having space to process
• holding things in for too long
• constantly pushing through

Over time, it can feel like everything becomes too much.

Therapy can offer space to pause and gently untangle what’s been building.

Have you ever felt this kind of overwhelm?

Therapy often begins with uncertainty.

Many people arrive feeling confused about their thoughts or emotions.

Understanding usually unfolds slowly and that’s completely okay.

Did any of these feel familiar?
