Helping Hands Home Care Helping Hands Home Care offer visiting and live-in care across England and Wales.

We have been providing home care for over 30 years, enabling thousands of people to stay at home in familiar, relaxed surroundings. Our skilled Home Care in Epsom team offer a range of different care options that can be adapted to suit your needs. Ranging from elderly care, dementia care and support for younger people, we can support you several times a week with visiting care or on a long term basis with live in care. We also offer short term respite care if you need extra help while your regular carer takes a break. Care starts from 30 minutes per week and is designed to fit around your routines and requirements. Our service covers personal care, moving and handling, housekeeping and companionship, and is fully regulated by the Care Quality Commission (CQC). Communication is about more than just words. For someone living with Alzheimer’s or dementia, finding the right words can sometimes be difficult. Small changes in how we communicate can make a big difference.
✨ Speak slowly and use short sentences
✨ Give them time to respond
✨ Maintain eye contact and use their name
✨ Stay calm and patient
✨ Avoid correcting or arguing
✨ Use gestures and visual cues when helpful
✨ Focus on feelings, not just facts
Most importantly, every conversation is an opportunity to help someone feel heard, respected and understood. 💜
