Mighty Hike Update 💚

Every mile, every step, and every training session brings us closer to our upcoming Mighty Hike Half Marathon. It's not always easy, but knowing we're doing it all in support of Macmillan Cancer Support keeps us motivated every step of the way.
Thank you to everyone who has supported and encouraged us on this journey so far, it really does make a difference.

Today marks an exciting milestone as we run our very first public Construction Employers Federation course in Coleraine at The Lodge Hotel!

Thanks to David for delivering today's course. We're delighted to bring our training to the Coleraine area and hope today's class is the first of many.

✨ Juno completed a two-day training course with the Northern Ireland Chest, Heart and Stroke to become our Health Champion for the Work Well, Live Well programme.
🥾 Only 3 weeks to go until our Mighty Hike. There’s still time to donate and support the journey!
🤝 Lynne attended the FSB networking event at the Balmoral
🍽️ Lisa delivered food safety training for the Anaka Women’s Collective
📚 Our NEBOSH General Certificate class finished on Tuesday ahead of their exams in June. Good luck everyone!

This Deaf Awareness Week we want to shine a light on noise induced hearing loss.

Noise-induced hearing loss doesn’t happen overnight. It builds over time through daily exposure to loud machinery, tools, or environments where protection isn’t prioritised The reality is, once hearing is damaged, it can’t be restored.

For many workers, especially in construction, manufacturing, and industrial settings, “getting used to the noise” comes at a serious cost:

🔹 Permanent hearing loss

🔹 Tinnitus (ringing in the ears)

🔹 Increased risk of accidents due to reduced awareness

Protecting your hearing is essential. Employers and employees alike have a role to play:

✔️ Use proper hearing protection

✔️ Follow safety guidelines

✔️ Speak up about unsafe noise levels

✔️ Schedule regular hearing checks
