107 extraordinary years 🫶🏻

🎉 Happy 107th Birthday, Charles! 💙

Staff on Ward 27 at Arrowe Park Hospital surprised Charles Martin with a very special birthday celebration to mark his incredible 107th birthday.

Charles has lived an extraordinary life. During the Second World War, he served in the Royal Air Force before going on to become Dairy Manager at the historic Swan Hill Dairy. A lifelong sportsman, he played football at both Anfield and Goodison Park and continued playing golf until he was 100 years old.

When asked the secret to his long life, Charles had a simple answer: "Sixty years of happy marriage." ❤️

A huge thank you to our Ward 27 team for making Charles' day so memorable, and from everyone at WUTH, we wish him a very happy 107th birthday.
