But when we all take action to support mental health at home, in school, and at work, we help remove the barriers that hold people back. This supports our own wellbeing and improves attitudes across society so that everyone can access the support they deserve, young people feel supported with school pressures, and mental health is prioritised in every workplace.

If we all take action, we can help ensure that mental health becomes a national priority and that people can find the guidance, tools and support they need to thrive.

Whether it’s one action for the week or one each day, it all counts and doesn’t need to stop when the week ends.

Team Aspire are looking for OUTREACH SUPPORT WORKERS to join our expanding team. As a support worker, you will be responsible for supporting people with their goals based within their home environments or local community. In the same way that Mollie has been supporting Maria with her love of animals 🫶🏻

Activities of support can include… swimming, supporting to attend work placements, personal care, teaching and developing independent life skills, supporting with cooking and meal preparation… in the short… supporting people to live a fulfilled, safe and independent life 🤍

This year, the World Health Organization (WHO) marks 18 years of World Hand Hygiene
Day. 🦠

This is a reminder of the importance of hand hygiene and how it is everyone’s
responsibility to practise effective hand hygiene, whatever your role. We ALL have a role to
play in hand hygiene. 🤚

When should we wash our hands?

The FIVE moments of hand hygiene…

• before touching a customer
• before clean/aseptic procedures
• after body fluid exposure/risk
• after touching a customer
• after touching customer surroundings

Always remember to use liquid soap and water for hand hygiene following any exposure to
bodily fluids, when hands are visibly soiled and when caring for anybody with a gastrointestinal illness. Alcohol gel can be used when hands are visibly clean, and is a quick, effective way to decontaminate your hands 🙌🏻
