No energy after a long day, went anyway…here is what happened 🙏.

Pre Hyrox - Exhausted, drained, ready to talk myself out of it, running on empty 🪫.

Post Hyrox - This…🔋

It makes no sense that moving when you are tired gives you energy. But it does, every single time ⚡️.

The hardest part is always the first step, getting the kit on, getting out the door. That is it, after that your body takes over.

Ps - it does not have to be Hyrox, a 10 minute walk does the same thing -movement is movement.

Your mind will reset, your energy will return and you will wonder why you nearly skipped it.

The camera does not lie 💆‍♀️

One year of Hyrox - Not because I am super fit, because I kept showing up.

A year ago Jen asked if I wanted to try a session at Forders. I jumped at it, I was humbled immediately.

One of the slowest in the room, could not push the sled, could not get through the circuits in time and felt like the weakest link.

But the coaches were brilliant and the community kept cheering me on, so I came back for more.

Every week I blocked the rest of the world out and stayed in my own lane with one mission - be better than I was last week.

One year on I am no athlete, but I am quicker, I can move the sled, wall ball throws and I have reached an understanding. I get through the circuits and I no longer feel my life flash before my eyes.

I did not get better because I was fit, I got better because I kept going.

That is the whole lesson, in Hyrox and in everything else 👌.

I’ll start when, That is not a reason, That is your excuse 👀.
But here is what is really going on underneath.

We are scared, scared of failing again, scared of change, scared of being judged, scared of facing ourselves, scared of being vulnerable enough to ask for help 😢.

So we struggle in silence, give ourselves another reason to wait and the cycle repeats 🔄.

I did not tell a single person for the first 12 months of my journey. When people started to notice I just said I am making a few changes, I got through it bit by bit 🤯.

But the biggest shifts came when I started asking for help, Investing in a coach. Talking to people I trusted, being part of a community who actually got it 🙏.

Then the rest was history.
There will never be a right time, there will always be a holiday, a social, a stressful day that catches you off guard 🫠.

Just start, imperfectly, quietly, however you can🫶.

She had tried everything, she was ready to book the weight loss injection. Then she tried the one thing she had been avoiding…facing herself.

Emma could not look in a mirror when she first joined Glow Her, now she has a tripod for her progress pictures and a full length pic - no problem at all 🤳🏽📸.

In her own words - Emma wanted one final attempt before trying Monjaro. What she thought would be a weekly check in and eating less turned out to be so much more.

She changed her habits whilst still enjoying the food she loves, quit smoking, started running, completed a 5k, smashed PB’s in the gym with , worked on her social anxiety.

Dug into her past, began to embrace her body instead of hiding it. When life got hard and threw curveballs - there was no judgment. Em was still there, still showing up and working on the foundations.

She described it as feeling seen, heard and held 🥰.

This is what we do at Glow Her, it is not a surface level programme. No scales police, no stranger telling you to eat less and move more, no being made to feel like a failure.
