What a moment it was... 💙
A walk full of hope, determination and celebration.
This week, Owen was discharged from Circle Rehabilitation after 11 weeks of intensive rehabilitation.
His journey has been nothing short of inspiring. From arriving in a wheelchair, to progressing with a Zimmer frame, then crutches, and finally walking completely unaided out of our doors.
Diagnosed with transverse myelitis, Owen embraced every challenge with resilience and a positive mindset, working tirelessly alongside our multidisciplinary team to regain his independence.
As Owen took his final steps, the team lined the corridor, clapping and cheering him on. A proud and emotional moment that celebrated his hard work, resilience and incredible progress.
Congratulations, Owen! We wish you all the very best for the next chapter of your recovery.

Ending the week with a beautiful moment from Owen’s rehabilitation journey. 💙
Owen enjoyed a community trip to Birmingham’s Bullring with our Occupational Therapy team, practising travelling by bus and train, navigating the city, and enjoying a well-earned drink.
The best part? The whole trip was planned by Owen himself — building confidence, independence, and skills for life beyond rehab.

⭐ Feedback Friday ⭐
Every Friday, we take a moment to celebrate the voices that matter most, our patients.
Receiving feedback like this reminds us why we do what we do. Rehabilitation is about more than physical recovery; it's about delivering compassionate, personalised care that supports every aspect of a patient's journey.
Jaffer left us some beautiful comments.

🌟 Best of Rehab 🌟

At Circle Rehabilitation, we're proud to celebrate colleagues who go the extra mile for both our patients and their teammates.

Monday Motivation | Jaffer's Walk of Hope 💙

Every recovery journey begins with a single step, and today we're celebrating one that inspires us all.
Jaffer spent three months at Circle Rehabilitation Birmingham following a haemorrhagic stroke in January that required emergency brain surgery.
When he arrived, he was a wheelchair user. Through determination, expert rehabilitation, and the unwavering support of our MDT, his journey progressed from wheelchair ➡️ Zimmer frame ➡️ crutches ➡️ walking out of hospital independently.
Reflecting on his recovery, Jaffer shared:
"Overall the therapy team are world class, caring, compassionate and highly knowledgeable, each providing a unique flavour and input into recovery and achieving goals. I wish to express my gratitude to each and every member of staff at Circle Rehab."
Stories like Jaffer's remind us why rehabilitation matters. Behind every milestone is a team working together to help patients regain their independence, confidence, and hope.
Here's to starting the week inspired by what can be achieved through dedication, resilience, and exceptional teamwork.
