Tom told us he loves Anne more now than ever. 69 years of marriage and his eyes still light up when he says, "She's beautiful." 💕

We had such a wonderful time celebrating their anniversary with them, listening to stories of a lifetime spent together. Love like theirs reminds us why we're here; to honour the people in our care and the relationships that matter most. What a privilege to be there for such a wonderful milestone.

The gardener, a carer, and a team member you might not expect to see on stage all picked up the microphone today.

Our Elvis concert didn't happen the way we'd planned when he had to cancel last minute, but we grabbed the karaoke machine and made music ourselves! Our residents loved every second; laughing, clapping, and dancing along. Bill had his happiest moment of the day, complete with his signature 'scooby dobbie do!'

We welcomed the chance to visit our sister home Preston Glades for an afternoon that turned out to be absolutely brilliant. 🌞

Bill was in his element. The steel pan drums got him on the dance floor, smiling and swaying. Tony was content doing what he loves best, sitting back and watching all the life happening around him. Maxine enjoyed walking and exploring their pretty garden.

There was live music, good food and lots of friendly new faces to meet. Bill loved it so much he's already talking about inviting the steel pan drummers to visit our home.

Bill said it best: "It's always good to look after bees." That's exactly what we did when a bumble bee needed our help at Brockholes nature reserve during our outing with our residents from a neighbouring home, White Ash Brook.

Tony and Bill joined us for a relaxing day in the sun, tucking into a picnic lunch and soaking up nature. Tony got stuck into the activity table and had the best time chatting with Leighton. "I loves Leighton's funny jokes," he said.

Just a perfect afternoon of good company, laughter and being there for one another (and our fuzzy friends). 🌞🐝

We had such a special afternoon when Cream, a gentle palomino therapy pony visited our home. 🐴

Our residents got to spend time with him in their rooms and lounges, patting his soft coat and listening to stories from his handlers. One resident said it brought tears of joy: "The pony was just beautiful."

Cousins Bill and Burt loved their recent trip to the Happa Horse Rescue and Cafe. 🥰

The gentleman, who both live with us, enjoyed lunch together and a wander round to meet the rescue horses.

For Burt, it's been a chance to get back out in the community in his new adapted wheelchair, with his cousin alongside him.

"I'm already looking forward to going again," he Burt.

We're heading back regularly now. If you'd like to come along with your loved one next time, our team would love to help facilitate that.

Our weekly exercise sessions with Coach Rob are never boring! 💪

We mix it up each week and recently we excelled ourselves with granny pants props, a hoop, and a throwing challenge! It's safe to say there were lots of laughs and many residents saying “Let’s do it again!”

Staying active supports strength, balance and mood, and can help reduce the risk of falls. Most importantly it's great fun. You can really see the impact it's having on morale here. 💛

A lovely trip out in our minibus to the Blue Flamingo Café and Community Hub with friends. 🦩💛

This dementia-friendly space to meet new people and catch up over a chat and a brew. We went along with our friends from our sister home Preston Glades and it was brilliant to see new friendships forming.

Research shows that social interaction can boost mood, reduce feelings of isolation and support overall wellbeing. Safe to say, we’ll be back! ✨☕
