👣 Why do we ask about your medical history?

You may be visiting us for something as simple as a painful toe, nail problem or hard skin, so we understand why some of the questions on your medical history form might not seem relevant.

However, your overall health can have a significant impact on your feet — and on the treatment we can safely provide.

Conditions such as diabetes, circulation problems and heart conditions, as well as medications, allergies and previous medical procedures, can all influence healing, sensation, bleeding, infection risk and the type of treatment that is appropriate for you.

That’s why we ask for a full medical history. It isn’t about being intrusive or asking unnecessary questions — it helps us carry out a thorough assessment, identify potential risks and provide you with safe, appropriate and personalised care.

I got invited to Springwell Village Community Venue today by the Thanks for Together Time group and Jackie Pearson to chat about podiatry and whats podiatrists as its not all just cutting nails. Not spoken in front of people since uni and usually hate it but they made me feel very welcome and i actually enjoyed it. thanks so much
