Have you had your free NHS Health Check recently? We're looking for volunteers...
Bracknell Forest Public Health is working with local surgeries across Berkshire East to create a short video to help other patients know what to expect. We'd love to hear from patients who have had a positive health check experience, and who would be willing to share their story on camera. As a thank-you, participants will receive a £50 gift card.

Important Notice: Ongoing IT System Issues

We are currently dealing with a regional IT network problem, which is affecting some of our practice systems. This may result in delays to appointments, prescriptions, referrals, test results, and telephone or online responses.

Please be assured that our IT support team is actively investigation and working to restore full service as quickly as possible. It remains our top priority to continue providing safe patient care throughout this period.

What this means is that appointments and requests may take longer than usual to process. Some services may need to be managed manually or rescheduled. Our team may need to verify information more than once during your contact with us

We understand how frustrating delays can be, and we do appreciate your patience and understanding while these issues are ongoing.

This is just a reminder to our patients that our practice staff are doing their best under challenging circumstances. Please treat our team with respect and kindness when contacting or visiting the practice, and we'll do the same.

Thank you for your understanding. We will provide updates here if more information becomes available.

Children under 6 are now being offered the MMRV vaccine instead of MMR as part of the NHS routine childhood vaccination programme.
This replaces the existing MMR vaccine and adds protection against chickenpox, alongside measles, mumps and rubella.
You don’t need to do anything — your GP will contact you when your child is due.

‼️🍼 *Information for Infants using SMA Formula* 🍼‼️

Nestle have recalled specific batches of 11 different SMA Infant Formula and SMA Follow-On Formula products due to potential contamination with bacillus cereus.

Batch codes of the products affected can be found on the base of the tin or box for powdered formulas or the base of the outer box and on the side / top of the container for ready-to-feed formulas. The full list of batch codes effected can be found here https://orlo.uk/C5clm

If you have an SMA Formula with any of the batch numbers listed, Nestle advise that you do not feed it to your baby. Instead, share a photo of the product and the batch code via https://orlo.uk/UYdZU or call the careline on 0800 0 81 81 80 for a refund. If you have fed this product to a baby and have any concerns about potential health impact, you should seek advice from healthcare professionals, using the most appropriate route depending on where you live, (i.e., visit your GP, call NHS111).

All other Nestlé products and other batches of the same product that are not in the scope of this voluntary recall are safe to consume.

It's not too late to take a break from alcohol this January. Within a week, you should feel more energised, and more refreshed after sleep, even if it's still taking a little longer to get to sleep. This usually gets better in the second week. The sooner you quit, the sooner you start to see the benefits of some booze free time.

Cutting out alcohol is all about what you gain, not what you lose!💛
