There's still time to have a say about Bracknell Forest Council's draft Health and Wellbeing Strategy for 2026–2036.
The council wants to hear from residents to make sure that the strategy reflects what matters most to them.
A short consultation survey is available online until next Monday, August 24.

Do you use a stoma or a catheter or care for someone who does? If you use the Thames Valley Appliance Management Service to order your supplies, we’d like your feedback. The service manages the prescription and ordering of stoma and catheter products, and your views on it will help us make improvements for patients. Reasonable adjustments can help make healthcare more accessible for people with disabilities, learning disabilities, autism, sensory impairments, dementia and other long-term conditions

The NHS has a legal duty to make reasonable adjustments so that everyone can access healthcare services as easily as possible. These adjustments are tailored to the individual and can make a big difference to someone's experience and wellbeing.

Examples of reasonable adjustments may include:
✅ Longer appointment times
✅ Easy Read information
✅ Communication support or interpreters
✅ A quiet place to wait
✅ Accessible appointment letters
✅ Support from a carer, family member or advocate
✅ Flexible appointment times

If you think you may benefit from reasonable adjustments, speak to your GP practice or healthcare provider. Letting staff know about your needs can help ensure you receive the right support whenever you access NHS services.

🎉 **Congratulations to Dr Rachel Boyce and Dr Sarah Lewandowski!** 🎉

We're proud to share that both Rachel and Sarah have been elected as Fellows of the Royal College of GPs (FRCGP), an honour recognising their significant and sustained contributions to general practice.

Sarah joined what was then Forest End Medical Centre back in 2011, and Rachel followed in 2012. Between them, that's over two decades of dedicated care for our Bracknell community.

Rachel and Sarah say they feel happy and lucky to be GPs here in Bracknell. We have wonderful patients, and a hardworking, supportive team of staff without whom none of this would be possible. This is a whole-practice achievement.

The RCGP's motto, “Cum Scientia Caritas” ("with science, compassion"), is something Rachel and Sarah try to live out every day, and this Fellowship award strengthens that commitment. They remain as dedicated as ever to working towards better care, and healthier, happier patients, now and in the future.

Forest Health Group is supported by LGBT Foundation’s Pride in Practice service to improve the experiences of LGBTQ+ people accessing primary care services.

We are open to all and are dedicated to protecting diversity and equality.

We are here to listen to suggestions and feedback from our LGBTQ+ patients on their experiences with us.

If you have something you want to share or feel would help us in this process, please let us know.

It is important to us if you feel you feel able to share your sexual orientation, gender identity and trans status with us so that we may be able to offer the most appropriate support to you within our practice and refer you on to any relevant services if you may need them.

Please be assured that you can speak to any member of the team about this in complete confidence.
