A new chapter for MetaWell!
After almost a decade in practice, I’ve finally done something I wanted to do a long time ago…
I sat down with the amazing branding professional Laurenne from Hound Dog Creatives to rethink my brand.
Not just a new logo (but that too).
Not just new colours or fonts (but those too).
But what I stand for, how I want people to feel when they come into contact with my work – and where I might want to take my business next.
I’ve absolutely loved the process!
Laurenne made it very easy and enjoyable.
For years, my focus has quite rightly been on my clients: understanding their symptoms, keeping up with the ever-evolving science of nutrition and lifestyle medicine, and most importantly, helping people feel better.
But my business has evolved considerably over the years…
I wanted a clear brand identity that felt like 𝐦𝐞 and captured what MetaWell has become.
One of the most valuable parts of the rebranding process was being encouraged to dig deep and really think about my personality and brand identity.
Who am I as a person and a practitioner?
What do I believe about health?
What makes my approach different?
How do I want people to feel when they work with me?
The answers brought me back to something I've known for years: health doesn't happen in silos.
Our gut, brain, hormones, metabolism, mood, sleep, stress and lifestyle are all connected.
The food we eat influence our gut health and our mood.
Sleep influences appetite and blood sugar regulation.
Stress affects digestion and hormones.
Hormonal changes affect energy, mood, digestion.
Time spent indoors/outdoors affects all of the above.
And this is at the heart of what I do.
I don't just give people a weekly meal plan or a rigid set of rules to follow.
I want to help people understand why they feel the way they do, look at the bigger picture and make sustainable changes that work IRL.
And I want companies to realise the importance of staff wellbeing for the performance of the business.
That's what MetaWell represents!
I think my new logo represents that too!
I wanted it to feel modern, energetic, strong and confident, but also warm, natural and approachable.
Laurenne captured this brilliantly, with the two flowing shapes reflecting the M and W of MetaWell (which originally was based on my initials).
There's also something much bigger that the logo conveys:
Movement
Transformation
Connection
Balance..as well as the ups and downs of life and health.
You could see them as:
Body and mind.
Gut and brain.
Past and future.
Nutrition and lifestyle.
Coach and client.
Two different elements coming together and working in harmony.
I love that the design has a sense of forward momentum and progress – because ultimately, that's what I want for the people I work with.
Not perfection.
Not an overnight transformation.
But positive change, one step at a time.
So welcome to the new MetaWell. 💚
Better gut. 💩
Better mood. 🧠
Better life. 🥳
