September is World's Alzheimer's Month
🔵 Dementia is the UK's biggest killer, it affects us all and it devastates lives.

🔵 Every 3 minutes someone in the UK develops dementia.

🔵 1 in 3 people born in the UK today will go on to develop dementia in their lifetime.

World Alzheimer's Month takes place every September and World Alzheimer's Day is on 21 September each year. It's a global opportunity to raise dementia awareness and support people affected by the disease.

Autumn Flu & COVID Vaccinations

We are currently organising our Autumn Flu & COVID vaccination clinics. Eligible patients will be contacted by text message, telephone or letter with details of how to book.

💉 If you are eligible, you can book your Flu and COVID vaccinations together by calling reception or using the booking link sent to you by text.

⚠️ Please note that COVID-19 vaccinations will only be offered as part of a combined Flu and COVID-19 appointment. If you do not require a COVID vaccination, you may still book a Flu vaccination only appointment.

Share your views on Carer's Allowance!

The Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) has launched what's called a 'call for evidence' on modernizing Carer's Allowance. It is focussing on: rules about earnings; how an 'earnings taper' might be introduced; and managing fluctuating incomes.

You can respond on the GOV.UK website by 11:59pm on 18 August. Search for 'Carer's Allowance Call for Evidence'.

If you're eligible, you can now get your free MenB vaccine.

MenB can cause serious illnesses like meningitis and septicaemia.

You may be eligible if you are:
✅ 17 to 18 years old and born between 1 September 2007 and 31 August 2008
✅ Under 25 and starting university or moving into residential further education for the first time

Eligible 17 to 18-year-olds born between these dates can book online if they’re registered with a GP in England. Eligible under-25s can get vaccinated at a participating pharmacy – no GP registration is needed.

You'll need 2 doses, given at least 4 weeks apart, for the best protection.
