Rehabilitation after injury can feel incredibly isolating, especially when confidence in movement, training, or returning to sport has been affected.

A huge part of sports rehabilitation isn’t just physical recovery, it’s helping people feel safe, supported and confident in their body again.

Every rehab journey is different. Some people need adapting training, some need reassurance, some need honest conversations and some just need someone who listens.

My approach has always been person first rehabilitation. Not rushing people through appointments, but supporting them through the process properly, physically and emotionally.

Because rehab should never feel like something you have to survive alone.

Message me or book a rehab session if you need support with your recovery journey 🤍

Recurring back pain in the gym is often a sign of mechanical overload, especially when training intensity starts increasing or fatigue kicks in.

A lot of people focus purely on the painful area without looking at the movement patterns, weaknesses, or compensations causing the issue in the first place.

Through sports rehabilitation assessment, we can identify imbalances, movement limitations, and loading issues that may be contributing to recurring pain then build a rehab plan that fits your training and goals.

Because progressing your training shouldn’t mean repeatedly breaking down every few months.

Message me or book a rehab session to get to the root cause 💌

And before anyone gets defensive 😂 most riders genuinely can’t feel they’re doing it.

That’s why EQ Band sessions can be such a game changer.

The bands provide feedback through pressure and resistance, helping highlight imbalances, asymmetries, stability issues and movement habits that may be transferring from human to horse.

It’s a bit like reformer Pilates for riders 🐎

Once you become aware of what your body is doing, we can then work on improving it both on and off the horse through rider focused rehab, stability work and movement training.

Because better rider awareness usually leads to better communication with your horse

Many rider performance issues are caused by subtle movement compensations that often go unnoticed 👀

Using tools such as EQ Bands allows riders to develop better body awareness through real time feedback, helping to correct movement patterns, improve symmetry and enhance overall riding performance.

If you’re experiencing discomfort, imbalance or want to improve your riding mechanics, my targeted personalised rider performance sessions will help you.

Effective competition preparation goes beyond physical training and plays a crucial role in performance outcomes across sports such as roller derby, athletics, and elite competition environments.

Many athletes focus solely on training volume and intensity but overlook key elements such as tapering strategies, travel planning, nutrition, hydration, and recovery.

Poor preparation outside of training can significantly impact performance, even when fitness levels are high.

If you have an upcoming competition and want support structuring your preparation, tailored guidance is available both in person and online.

Career paths aren’t always linear and that’s not a bad thing.

From working in hospitality to building a sports rehabilitation career, the biggest lessons came from taking opportunities, speaking to people, and backing myself even when I didn’t feel ready.

Training in hot weather requires more than just pushing through.

Whether you’re running, training in the gym, or competing outdoors, managing heat, hydration, and fuelling is key to maintaining performance and reducing the risk of dehydration, cramp, and fatigue.

As we enter the warmer months, your approach needs to adapt.
