“Muscle scraping is absolutely brutal…”

Yeah… apparently not for everyone!

This client spent most of the treatment laughing her head off 🤣

There’s this idea that muscle scraping has to be ridiculously painful to work. It doesn’t.

Some areas can be uncomfortable, some can feel pretty intense, but it shouldn’t be about trying to make you suffer!

Everyone reacts differently — and clearly this client’s response is to find it absolutely hilarious 😂

So no… I’m not torturing people. Honest. 😂

“That looks painful!” 🔴🔥

One of the biggest misconceptions about muscle scraping is that more redness means more damage.

Not always…

The redness is a temporary response to the mechanical stimulation of the tissues, with increased local blood flow contributing to the appearance.

Everyone responds differently — some clients barely go red, while others can develop a much more dramatic reaction.

Redness does often coincide with areas that feel particularly tight, restricted or sensitive during treatment, although redness alone doesn’t tell us exactly what’s happening underneath.

👉 More redness doesn’t mean a better treatment
👉 Less redness doesn’t indicate an ineffective treatment

The redness isn’t the goal — how the area feels and moves is what matters. 💪

When your job takes its toll ⚡️💪

This electrician came in with ongoing tightness through his upper back and shoulders — areas that can take a serious beating from the demands of working in awkward positions, overhead and repetitive postures.

We worked through the areas of restriction to help improve movement, reduce that feeling of tightness and get his body moving more freely.

Your occupation can have a huge impact on how your body feels — especially when you’re doing the same demanding movements day after day.

Look after your body as well as you look after your work. 🔧💪

Good progress after one session for this client.

She came in with severe, long-standing shoulder mobility issues on her left side and was understandably nervous about treatment.

After one muscle scraping session, we saw some really encouraging improvements in shoulder flexion and abduction.

There’s still work to do to gain more movement with shoulder extension and internal rotation (enabling her to reach behind her back more effectively), but this is a great start.

🔥 Recovery. Results. Great people. That’s what today was all about.

A massive thank you to Mike at Mission Training Club - Bury for inviting me in to offer free muscle scraping taster sessions.

It was great to meet your members, chat about their training, and give them a feel for how our treatment can help them. It’s always a pleasure introducing people to a treatment that many have never experienced before.

Thanks again for the warm welcome, I really appreciate the opportunity and hopefully I’ll be back again soon! 👊

Nail techs… this one’s for you 💅!

One treatment. One visible difference. 👀

This client came to me with persistent calf pain, and one of the contributing factors was a slight leg length discrepancy.

After a full session, we reassessed… and the difference had visibly reduced. The before and after photos speak for themselves. 📸

When your body is out of balance, it often compensates elsewhere. In this case, those compensations were placing extra stress through the calves, leading to pain and tightness.

Muscle scraping isn’t just about treating where it hurts—it’s about identifying and addressing the underlying cause, helping your body move more efficiently.

If you’re constantly battling recurring aches, tight calves, or feel like something just isn’t quite right, it might be time to look beyond the symptoms.
