πΊπ΄π ALOHA FROM CHERRY TREE! ππ΄πΊ
What an absolutely fabulous afternoon weβve had celebrating our Hawaiian International Day! βοΈπ
Cherry Tree was transformed into our own little tropical paradise, with colourful Hawaiian shirts, beautiful flower leis, tropical vibes and plenty of smiles! πΈπΊ
Our residents enjoyed delicious Hawaiian-inspired meals and desserts, a gorgeous fresh tropical fruit board πππ₯ and some very refreshing colourful mocktails πΉ β cheers everyone!
And of course, no celebration would be complete without music! πΆπ Our residents had a fantastic time enjoying live music, singing along and soaking up the wonderful atmosphere.
πΊ Did you know? The beautiful flower necklaces traditionally associated with Hawaii are called leis. They are given as a symbol of love, friendship, celebration and welcome β very fitting for our Cherry Tree family! β€οΈ
We also learned a couple of Hawaiian words along the way:
π΄ Aloha β hello, goodbye, love and affection
πΊ Mahalo β thank you
Days like today are all about trying something different, experiencing another culture, enjoying great food and music, and most importantlyβ¦ having fun together and making memories! β€οΈ
A very special MAHALO to Bridget for putting together such a lovely afternoon for our residents. πΊπ Your hard work made it a wonderful day!
Just look at those smiles! ππ΄πΊ
