This week, we are delighted to celebrate our wonderful Janice as Cherry Tree’s Employee of the Week! ❤️

Janice has recently celebrated an incredible 10 years of service at Cherry Tree Care Home. Throughout those years, she has shown just how hard-working, reliable and compassionate she is. Her kindness and dedication make a real difference to our residents and the whole Cherry Tree family every day. 🌸

Outside of work, Janice loves travelling with her husband, playing pool, dancing, walking her 12-year-old dog Stone, playing Scrabble, and most importantly spending time with her children and grandchildren, who bring her so much joy. 🥰

👏 Congratulations, Janice! Thank you for everything you do and for 10 amazing years with us. We are very lucky to have you as part of our Cherry Tree team! ❤️🌳

🎶❤️ What a Lovely Visit at Cherry Tree! ❤️🎶

We had such a wonderful time today enjoying some fantastic live music at Cherry Tree! Our residents and their family members loved listening, singing along and sharing lots of smiles together. 🎤🎵😊

Music has so many wonderful benefits for our residents. It can lift mood, bring back special memories, encourage social interaction and create a sense of connection and happiness. 💕 Music can be especially powerful in bringing people together and supporting emotional wellbeing.

Thank you for a lovely visit and for bringing so much joy to Cherry Tree today! 🌸🎶

🎶🌺 LIVE MUSIC AT CHERRY TREE! 🌺🎶

What a wonderful afternoon! ❤️ Our residents absolutely loved being entertained by our fantastic live singer, with plenty of singing along, smiles and great Hawaiian vibes! 🌴🎤💃

Music always brings everyone together, and today was certainly no exception! 🥰

A huge thank you to our wonderful singer for bringing so much joy and energy to Cherry Tree! 🌺👏

🌺🌴🍍 ALOHA FROM CHERRY TREE! 🍍🌴🌺

What an absolutely fabulous afternoon we’ve had celebrating our Hawaiian International Day! ☀️🌊

Cherry Tree was transformed into our own little tropical paradise, with colourful Hawaiian shirts, beautiful flower leis, tropical vibes and plenty of smiles! 🌸🌺

Our residents enjoyed delicious Hawaiian-inspired meals and desserts, a gorgeous fresh tropical fruit board 🍉🍍🥭 and some very refreshing colourful mocktails 🍹 — cheers everyone!

And of course, no celebration would be complete without music! 🎶💃 Our residents had a fantastic time enjoying live music, singing along and soaking up the wonderful atmosphere.

🌺 Did you know? The beautiful flower necklaces traditionally associated with Hawaii are called leis. They are given as a symbol of love, friendship, celebration and welcome — very fitting for our Cherry Tree family! ❤️

We also learned a couple of Hawaiian words along the way:

🌴 Aloha – hello, goodbye, love and affection
🌺 Mahalo – thank you

Days like today are all about trying something different, experiencing another culture, enjoying great food and music, and most importantly… having fun together and making memories! ❤️

A very special MAHALO to Bridget for putting together such a lovely afternoon for our residents. 🌺👏 Your hard work made it a wonderful day!
