We have been informed that our Flu vaccine supplier is one of those affected by the challenges faced this year within the industry and our flu vaccine order has been cancelled.
This is a national issue with NHS England and other national agencies working to find out more information and ways to help the Flu programme stay on track. This issue is affecting GP surgeries, Pharmacies and hospitals.
We have acted quickly upon hearing the news last night and have worked hard to secure flu vaccine with a different manufacturer but our delivery date may be delayed by a few weeks. We had started to send some invites for patients to book into our October clinics and we are sorry to say that we may need to cancel appointments made and send out additional links to book at a later date.
We like to get as many of our eligible patients vaccinated as soon as possible to provide the most protection and are still aiming to do this but due to this delay, which is out of our control, vaccinations will be taking place a little later than normal. We are organising additional dates for Saturday clinics, as you can appreciate this takes a bit of time to organise.
A lot of time and effort goes into organising the flu clinics and we would really appreciate you still booking with us, your GP surgery, rather than looking elsewhere. We will be able to provide your covid vaccination, if eligible, at the same time.
If you have an appointment booked, or you have not yet received an invitation, please do not do anything at the moment and we will be in contact shortly if your appointment is affected and send relevant links to all those that have not yet had one.
