Hafod Care We provide a wide range of care and support services across Bridgend, Cardiff, Merthyr Tydfil, Rhondda Cynon Taf, Torfaen and the Vale of Glamorgan.

We’re pleased to introduce Adrian Burke, who has joined Hafod as our new Chief Executive Officer.

Adrian has worked in housing, supported housing and care services for more than 26 years. He is passionate about ensuring everyone has access to a good-quality home and the support they need to live well.

Hafod customers played a key role in Adrian's recruitment. Sally and Roberta, members of our Scrutiny Panel, met candidates and shared their views, helping to ensure customer voices were at the heart of the decision.

In his first video message to customers, Adrian shares a little about his background and what matters most to him.

All the staff seem cheerful and efficient. Nothing seems too much trouble. Issues seem to be dealt with quickly.

We have a room available in a friendly over‑55s residential setting at Saebren in Treherbert.
✔️ Bedsit accommodation - room, bathroom and kitchenette
✔️ Suitable for an independent older person
✔️ First‑floor accommodation (stairs only - a stairlift is available, but residents must be independent in using it)
✔️ Breakfast and lunch provided daily

Please note:
• Applicants must be 55+
• Residents must be independent with mobility
• This setting is not suitable for those needing personal or nursing care

As a shy lady we worried that she would not integrate well but the lovely atmosphere and the superb daily activities programme at Cwmbran House meant that she exceeded all our expectations.
