A beautiful result from today’s model day 🫶🏼

We captured some stunning before and after photographs, and this transformation is a perfect example of how subtle changes can create beautifully balanced definition.

My lovely patient wanted a little more structure through the chin and jawline. Not a dramatic change, just a refined enhancement to complement her natural features. The result is soft, elegant definition that still looks completely like her.

I honestly feel like I help people more now, than I ever did in the NHS.

And not because I didn’t help people there. I did. But so much of my role was reacting to problems once they already existed.

I was firefighting. Working within a system that was stretched, with limited time, limited resources and little opportunity to focus on prevention, confidence or long term wellbeing.

Now, I have time to really listen.

The impact may look different, but it’s no less meaningful. Seeing someone smile when they look in the mirror, walk taller, or tell me they finally feel like themselves again is a privilege I never take for granted.

One thing I never want patients to feel is rushed.

Many people arrive for their consultation feeling nervous, overwhelmed, or unsure about what they need. Taking the time to listen, answer questions, and understand their concerns is often the most important part of the appointment.

Sometimes that means discussing treatment options. Sometimes it means deciding that no treatment is needed at all.

My goal has always been to provide honest advice, realistic expectations, and recommendations that are right for the individual sitting in front of me, not simply to recommend a treatment.

Trust is built through conversation, education, and putting patients’ best interests first.

When someone tells me they’ve spent years feeling self conscious about a feature and now feel more confident in themselves, it reminds me exactly why I do what I do.

Nobody really talks honestly about what long-term stress does to women. Not dramatic breakdown-level stress.
Just years of constantly being needed.

You can always tell when someone’s been carrying too much for too long because they slowly disappear from themselves in really small ways first.

They stop wearing clothes they actually love and start wearing whatever’s easiest.

They stop getting in photos.

They tie their hair up every day because they “can’t be bothered.”

They become the kind of woman who says things like:
“I used to make more effort.”

And the strange part is everyone around them still thinks they’re doing completely fine because they’re functioning perfectly.

That’s the problem with capable women. The more competent you are, the less anyone notices you’re exhausted.

You still go to work.
You still answer messages.
You still organise everybody’s life.
You still show up for everyone else.

But somewhere in the middle of all that, you stop feeling connected to yourself.

And honestly, I think that’s why women care about aesthetics more than people realise. Not because they’re trying to become somebody else.

Usually because they’ve spent so long surviving that they just want to look in the mirror and feel like themselves again.
