☀️ HOT WEATHER REMINDER ☀️

With warmer weather here, we want to make sure our clients and carers are staying safe, cool and comfortable. 💛

💧 Stay hydrated – drink plenty of water throughout the day, even if you don’t feel thirsty.

🌤️ Keep cool – where possible, stay indoors during the hottest parts of the day and keep curtains or blinds closed to reduce the heat.

🧴 Protect yourself – use sun cream, wear a hat and lightweight clothing if you need to be outside.

💊 Take extra care with medication – some medications can make people more sensitive to heat or the sun. Please follow any advice provided by your healthcare professional.

👵 Check in on clients – carers, please keep an eye out for signs that a client may be struggling with the heat and report any concerns to your manager or on-call team.

⚠️ Look out for signs of heat exhaustion, including dizziness, headache, excessive sweating, weakness or confusion. If you are concerned about someone, seek appropriate medical advice.
