📸 Showcasing the Future of Scottish Agriculture

A huge thank you to John Cowan from NFU Scotland for inviting Tracey McEwan, Service Coordinator at Tarff Services, to meet with Laura Moodie MSP and discuss the impact of our Agricultural Pathways programme.

We're proud of the opportunities these pathways continue to create for young people entering the industry:

✅ 126 Pre-Apprentices supported since 2019
✅ 101 SCQF Level 5 Modern Apprentices since 2021
✅ 12 SCQF Level 6 Modern Apprentices since 2021
✅ 79% of participants are still employed within the agricultural sector today

These figures highlight the vital role that apprenticeships, mentoring and employer partnerships play in developing the next generation of agricultural professionals.

📢 Important Course Booking Reminder 📢

We’ve recently experienced a few last-minute cancellations on our short training courses and would like to remind everyone of our booking policy.

When a course booking is made, we confirm numbers and commit to trainer costs well in advance of the course date. Unfortunately, if someone cancels at the last minute, we are still required to pay the trainer and cover the associated costs.

For this reason, late cancellations may still be charged at the full course fee in line with our booking terms and conditions.

We understand that unexpected situations can arise, and we will always try to help where possible. However, as a training provider, we simply cannot absorb the costs of late cancellations.

A fantastic few days at the Royal Highland Show on the Scottish Machinery Rings Association stand! 🚜

From Rowan Johnstone sharing his apprenticeship journey at the Mentors & Rising Stars event, to our popular ATV prize draw in support of SAYFC’s Big Build project, there was plenty happening throughout the show.

Visitors also enjoyed the Lift & Shift simulator challenge, the Case IH kids’ colouring competition and the chance to win a free training course.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by the stand and helped make this year’s Royal Highland Show another great success!
