Thanks to all our volunteers in SCCFR for everything you do to allow our service to function. Our community really do appreciate all that we do.
Also to all members in our sister CFR groups - continued success in your volunteering roles

As National Volunteers’ Week comes to a close, we’d like to thank all 458 of our Community First Responders across 25 schemes throughout Northern Ireland. Together, they give thousands of hours each year to support their communities, respond to emergencies, promote lifesaving skills and help us improve outcomes for patients. We are proud to work alongside such a dedicated group of volunteers.

We recently received a very kind donation of £500 from local man Owen Kelly. 🙏 This generous donation will be used to provide training and purchase equipment for our CFR volunteers so that we can continue providing our service to those in our community in their greatest time of need.
Pictured below along with Owen at the cheque presentation is Owen’s wife Ann and our CFR volunteer Barry McEvoy. Many thanks once again for your donation 🙂

What an afternoon we had yesterday with representatives of 4 ukulele groups meeting at the stunning Turnip House to finalise plans for our Big Ukuhooley on 13th June! This has been a dream our own Eilish and Benji for a long time and together with their friends from the different groups and the Turnip House they're making it happen! All money raised by this is going to the fabulous Slieve Croob first responders. A very BIG thank you to Tony Coulter and CWC Group for their generous sponsorship of the event. slieve Croon First responders are a totally voluntary group of highly trained people who work alongside the ambulance service to get a first response team out quickly in the very rural area around Slieve Croob and beyond, saving lives by getting there long before the ambulance service can physically make it. We were very moved listening to their story yesterday on how a personal tragedy for one of the founding members led to them being set up. We will be sharing videos from the Ukuhooley so don't worry if you can't be there. If you'd like to donate to the first responders link is in the comments. We are so excited about this 🎶🎉
