We had a brilliant time at Wickham House when the lovely Chris Gordon came in to perform for us 💜

Before long, our lounge was up on its feet with dancing, clapping and plenty of singalongs. Chris treated us to a real mix of favourites, and our residents were more than happy to join in, with a few impressive moves along the way 🎶

It’s moments like these that bring everyone together. Lots of laughter, familiar songs and happy faces all round 💜

What a lovely Wednesday we had here at Wickham Care Home 💜

After a visit from Cheryl the hairdresser, our lovely residents were feeling their best and ready for a busy afternoon. We were delighted to welcome Ann from Essex Therapy Dogs the most beautiful and friendly therapy dog, Skyla, who brought plenty of smiles and fuss along with her 🐶

The fun continued when Chris Gordon got everyone singing, dancing and tapping along to some much loved favourites. Residents, families and our team all joined in, making it one of those afternoons that seemed to fly by 🎶😊

There was lots of singing, clapping and dancing at Wickham House Care Home as Andy Vocals joined us for a wonderful afternoon of music 🎶😊

Our lovely residents loved singing along to some well known favourites, with plenty of toe tapping and smiles around the room. It was one of those afternoons where everyone got involved and enjoyed the music together 💜

After all the fun and exercise, a well earned cup of tea and biscuits was definitely needed!

A Country & Western themed morning with Frederick Douglas Care Home Entertainment ! We all had a fantastic time exercising, singing, dancing, putting on hats, waving ribbons & shaking tambourines. 🤠🕺🏿🎶🎵🎤😂

We had a wonderful afternoon at Wickham House Care Home celebrating VE Day.

Chris Gordon had everyone singing along with classic hits from the 40s and 50s, with plenty of dancing, toe tapping and smiles all round. It was lovely seeing our residents reminiscing over familiar songs and enjoying such a cheerful afternoon together 💜

We also tucked into some beautiful Union Jack cakes kindly donated by our friend Kim. They looked fantastic and tasted just as good too 🎂

A big thank you to everyone who helped make the day so special 😊

We had a fantastic afternoon at Ashfield when Gfitness came to visit for an exercise session at Wickham House Care Home 💜

Dean got everyone moving with some gentle bending and stretching, and there was a really lovely energy in the room as our wonderful residents joined in at their own pace. What mattered most was that everyone was smiling, having a go, and enjoying themselves rather than taking it too seriously 😊

There was plenty of encouragement, a bit of laughter along the way, and a real sense of togetherness as everyone took part. By the end of the session, it was clear how much it had lifted the mood all round.

Our residents were already saying they would love to see Dean back again soon, and we could not agree more. What a lovely way to spend the afternoon 💜

We had such a lovely time celebrating St George’s Day here at our home, with Wickham House Care Home looking the part in red and white balloons and flags all around!

Andy Vocals kept us well entertained, and before long our residents were singing along, having a little dance and sharing plenty of laughs together. It was one of those afternoons where the room just felt full of joy.

After all that fun, we sat down to a delicious afternoon tea with strawberries and cream and a tempting spread of cakes. There were lots of happy faces and empty plates by the end 💜

We were so pleased to welcome Tessa Collitt Singing back Wickham House Care Home 💜

The afternoon quickly filled with laughter as our residents and team came together for a good sing along, a bit of dancing and plenty of fun. There were some brilliant song choices and lots of toe tapping, with everyone joining in however they felt comfortable.

It was one of those feel good afternoons where the smiles said it all, and it was lovely to see everyone enjoying the moment together. What song would get you up for a dance? 🎶

From raising awareness during Nutrition and Hydration Week to enjoying the energy and fun of St Patrick’s Day, there has been something for everyone to take part in. We also proudly celebrated International Women’s Day, recognising the inspiring women within our communities, and marked Mother’s Day with thoughtful moments of love, gratitude, and reflection 🌷 🚺 🍎 🍀
