A simple tap could make all the difference.
1) Open the NHS App
2) Tap the banner on the homepage or go to your account settings and take a minute to record your wishes
3) Sit back and relax

It could be the most important thing you do today.

🦷 It's Smile Month - the Oral Health Foundation is celebrating its 50th anniversary in raising awareness of good oral health. Good oral health means more than just having clean teeth. It means having a mouth that is comfortable, functional and free from disease 🦷

❌ Myth 1: You should rinse after brushing
✅ Fact: Brush for 2 minutes with fluoride toothpaste, then spit, don’t rinse. Leaving a small amount of fluoride on your teeth helps protect them for longer.

❌ Myth 2: Only visit the dentist if you’re in pain
✅ Fact: Pain is a sign something may already be wrong. Regular check‑ups are important, at least once a year for under 18s and at least once every 2 years for adults (however your dentist may recommend more frequent visits).

❌ Myth 3: Baby teeth don’t matter, they fall out anyway
âś… Fact: Baby teeth are essential for chewing, speech development and confidence. Tooth decay in baby teeth can be very painful, may lead to tooth removal, and can even affect the health of the adult teeth as they come through, increasing the risk of dental problems later in life.
