I have been getting some messages today to ask if l've gone away, l've not, I'm fully booked 💕

It's been an incredible start to the summer holidays, the last 2 weeks have been amazing, thank you so much 💕

Please remember there is now a waitlist on the booking system which means I can get in touch as soon as there is any movement.

Lots of availability through the summer and I'm not actually closed until August 22nd for a week 🏖️

Hi Everyone,
I hope you’re keeping well and those with school aged children having a good start to the summer 💕💕💕
I normally keep my longwinded non massage related posts for Instagram but feel like sharing the love today 😂

Before I share this post, it's not my birthday for a few weeks and as much as l'm obsessed with celebrating birthdays that's actually not what this post is about 💕💕

I knew would be on holiday for my birthday and only wanted Amelia to make a cake for my 50th so we had a little cake party this weekend. Thank you so much for my gorgeous cake 💕💕💕

It was all a bit daft if I'm honest and the kids thought I was mad but we all dressed up and sat and basically had a tea party. It wasn't a full afternoon tea just a dedication to the cake 😂

But what happened was a bit magical 💕💕
I am not a tea drinker and have never done anything like this before but there was something different than chatting over dinner or games which is what we'd normally do. We chatted and gossiped and laughed and had some serious conversations and it just felt different.

It was amazing, I loved every minute.

There's the expression 'Spill the T' which I can now confirm is true! What is it the tea does????

Afternoon Tea and in France 'Le Gouter' (I'm not trying to be fancy, this is what I was bought up with so more familiar to me' were invented for when you're a bit peckish at 4pm but what's not really mentioned is the beautiful check in moment you have to have a wee gossip and catch up 💕💕

Maybe it's the ritual and slowness of the event that plays a part, no rushing and having time to relax and share.

Hey everyone, I hope everyone is having a good start to their bank holiday and half term for those in school.

Chesham is the place to be this weekend 🙌🎉💕

I am freaking out as my booking system now has a waiting list option 🙌🙌🙌
This is so amazing and easy to use.

Choose your treatment - add your request - we both get emailed and if it becomes available you will be notified. I am so excited and it could not have come at a better time as half term is nearly fully booked.

There's a few sessions on Friday and then you'll need to pop yourself on the wait list 💕💕💕

Consultation is a huge part of a massage treatment and covers really important information including your health so we can work safely and effectively.

One of the most important parts for me is getting to know how you spend your day, your preferences including comfortable positions and any previous massage experience that may be relevant.

This part highlights real individual needs and is often the moment clients may share areas that they do not feel comfortable having massaged.
This can be for a multitude of reasons and we can always, always avoid those areas.

Please do not avoid booking a massage if you don't like your wrist, feet, thumb, neck, literally any area of the body being touched.
We just don't include that part of your body, very simple.

If clients become regulars then we may never ever massage those areas and that is absolutely fine.
Sometimes though clients start to feel ready to explore if we can slowly start to include the area and we take it really slowly to see how it goes.

This morning was one of those mornings we included an area for the first time in the leg for my client and it really was quite an honour to be trusted to do this ❤️

I will also add that whilst this may sound quite serious we are often giggling during a moment like this and gently testing if it's a good idea 😂
And I am always ready to abort if we realise it was a terrible idea and will ruin the massage.
In many cases (absolutely not all) it is a pressure problem and once we've established the right pressure that area of the body can slowly start to relax and be included in treatment.

Pregnancy Massage 💕

Yesterday was a beautiful day of massage in the therapy room, my 5 clients all leaving relaxed and refreshed 🌿🌿
2 of which are very close to having their first babies 💕

Many of my pregnancy clients have very frequent massage especially in the third trimester and it's such a joy and privilege to take care of them and have regular contact in these last stages.

Massage during pregnancy is sought out for both pregnancy related changes to the body and existing non pregnancy related needs.

We discuss at consultation anything ongoing we need to attend to for example tension in the upper body from desk work and then changes from massage to massage as the body changes and the baby is growing, for example sore feet and tightness in the calf's.

Relaxation and a moment to just think about yourself and have some head space are another really important part of treatment.

Life very often just carries on when we fall pregnant. We still have heavy workloads, busy diaries full of family events and socialising and to have a moment carved out just for you is really important.

Yesterdays session were both focused on deep relaxation along with some tension release to the shoulders, neck and head for one client and more lower back, hips and side work for the other.

Both were covered from head to foot in the incredible .skincare Nom Nom Pregnancy products that I’m obsessed with 💕💕
