For once I am so glad my massage room is the coldest room in the house!

All set up ready for a pair of legs followed by legs and back. Rather jealous of my ladies coming this afternoon!

FIFTH(!!) load of washing nearly dry on the line today. Hope you’re enjoying the sunshine as much as I am!!

I really do love my job, but when a client wakes up at the end and says ‘sorry I think I dozed off there for a minute’, there is a definite internal fist bump moment.

Yeah you did and that’s ok! Biggest compliment you could give me…

I love getting messages like this ❤️ She’d also said the scalp massage ‘felt like my head was melting into your hands’. Can’t get much better than that!

This lady had had the menopause massage but extended the treatment time to 90 minutes to make sure it was all super relaxing and calming.

While talking all things perimenopause with a client recently, I was introduced to these drink sachets to help with sleep. Now, I’m really not a one to have powders or shakes (🤢) but these are actually really tasty! I’ve had a few now and last night was the best nights sleep I’ve had in ages!

I am not a doctor and I am not affiliated with the company, but if you’re struggling with sleep and these are safe for you to take, I’d definitely take a look! A trial pack of 5 is free with postage at about £4 I think.

Here is another favourite that clients love…

Long strokes along the spinea erector muscles and hooking over the shoulder, bringing the shoulder girdle down away from the ears. Oh my!

Such a deep and powerful technique that hits so many spots all in one go. No wonder this one practically has you purring on the table!

So what are ‘knots’? How do I fix them? Watch to find out!

Or if like me, 2 minutes 43 seconds is waaaay too long here’s the highlights…

Knots are glacially gummed up muscle or fascia from over or under movement.

Best way to fix them? Improve the flow of oxygen. Swedish massage or trigger point therapy do this with kneading or deep pressure over the area.

I do it with care and affection. Soothing strokes, sometimes light, sometimes deep, sometimes a bit of both, give your body permission and space to Stop Holding On. It also increases blood flow bringing oxygen to where it needs to be.

Simples!!

What better day than Therapeutic Massage Awareness Day to remind you of the benefits of massage…

Regular massage can, among other things -

🌟 Help improve sleep quality by helping you relax and switch off

🌟Reduce stress and anxiety

🌟 Ease muscular aches and pains by reducing muscle tension and stiffness

🌟 Stimulate lymphatic drainage

🌟 Boost the mood by releasing endorphins

If you’d like to know, please do send me a message. No question is a silly question!

Now another technique I really like, is this one focussing on the shoulder. Check out that traction at the start, bringing that shoulder right back, opening out the chest. This is great for helping improve posture, if you’re bent over a computer for work, use a phone a lot or larger busted ladies also find this one beneficial. It then moves into more traction paired with some soothing strokes along the upper arm, over the tops of the shoulders and coming around the back.

Absolutely delicious.
