Baking Throwback!

The Torcare residents at Porte Rouge certainly held their own regarding baking! They had a great time together making flapjacks; the results were fantastic. Everyone really got involved, and it was great to see everyone enjoying the activity. It’s always rewarding to see the creativity and teamwork that these kinds of activities bring out. Well done to all who took part – a brilliant effort all around!
We are looking forward to more baking shares soon.

Job Alert! Healthcare Assistants required - full-time and part-time.

We are looking for enthusiastic, motivated and committed people to join our lively and friendly team working in our Nursing and Residential homes. Torcare Ltd is a great place to work, with a real community spirit and the needs of our residents at the forefront of everything we do. Ideally, we seek people with experience in a similar setting, but this is not essential. What is important is that you are KEEN, CARING, MOTIVIATED and ENTHUSIASTIC with a willingness to learn and support the ethos of Torcare Ltd.

The post will involve working a shift rota, including weekends and public holidays.

A cheeky throwback to when we had the pleasure of welcoming these adorable furry visitors! 🐾 These lovely guinea pigs, belonging to one of our Torcare team members, are regular guests at our homes. It's always heartwarming to see the positive impact these little friends have on our residents.

* Local authority funding: The local authority funds some or all of the care. A relative or friend of a resident can also contribute an additional voluntary payment, known as a top-up fee.

* Self-funding: the person being cared for (or their family or a friend) pays all the costs of their care.

* NHS funding: In certain circumstances, the NHS may cover the cost of care.

Some of our lovely Porte Rouge residents had a wonderful time making delicious jam tarts with our cook, Tracy, who had recently started with us at Torcare 🍓🥧 It was a fun and tasty way to spend the day, and we’re already looking forward to the next baking lesson!
