🩺 Diabetes Awareness Week

If you have diabetes, attending your regular diabetes health checks is an important part of staying well and reducing the risk of long-term complications.

These routine checks help identify any problems early, often before you notice any symptoms, so that treatment and support can be provided when needed.

Your diabetes care may include:
👣 Foot checks to help prevent ulcers and other foot problems
👁️ Diabetic eye screening to protect your sight
🩸 Blood tests to monitor your diabetes, cholesterol and kidney function
🚽 Urine tests to check for early signs of kidney disease
❤️ Blood pressure checks to support your heart and vascular health

If you are invited for a diabetes review or screening appointment, please make every effort to attend.
Many diabetes-related appointments, including blood tests and routine reviews, can be booked quickly and conveniently through the NHS App.

If you think you may be overdue for any of your diabetes checks, please contact the practice or check the NHS App to see what appointments are available.

Together, we can help you stay healthy and manage your diabetes well.

💬 💬

Today is the perfect reminder that a few kind words can make a big difference.

Whether it’s thanking a friend, checking in on a neighbour, complimenting a colleague, or showing appreciation to someone who helps you, kindness has a positive impact on both physical and mental wellbeing.

Why not brighten someone’s day with a simple "thank you," "I appreciate you," or "you're doing a great job"?
