πŸ’™ WHAT A DAY! πŸ’™

What an incredible day yesterday at Coventry Recovery Festival! πŸŽ‰

A huge shoutout to for putting on such a fantastic event. The atmosphere was brilliant β€” so many recovery organisations, services and people all coming together, making connections, sharing experiences and showing just how strong the recovery community in Coventry really is. 🀝

We spoke to so many people, made some great new connections and left with that proper feel-good feeling that days like this create. πŸ™Œ

But our residents absolutely smashed it! πŸ‘Š

So many came along to support the event, got involved and represented The Dynamo Project. And a few even got on the microphone and bravely shared their own recovery stories. 🎀❀️ That takes courage β€” and we couldn’t have been prouder.

β˜€οΈ Beautiful weather.
🀝 Great people.
❀️ Honest stories.
πŸ™Œ A brilliant recovery community.

We really hope this becomes an annual event because Coventry needs days like this. Thank you to everyone who made it such a special day.

Recovery is stronger when we do it together. πŸ’™

This is Kye...

We are so proud of him as he celebrates reaching 4 months clean and sober 😊.

Kye is no stranger to us, he has been with us previously and unfortunately things did not go the way he hoped but to his credit, despite them set backs he has come back and making more progress this time around πŸ’―.

He has been more open minded and willing to listen and go out of his comfort zone. He has difficult moments at times like we all do but he talks about things and works his way through them which is already a big difference in him.

We now push on and keep moving in the right direction, there is so much to like in Kye, there is recovery within him, crucially, Kye can also see that more and more πŸ’―.

Huge congratulations Kye...

4 months is amazing 😊.

Yesterday we said goodbye to JK, who has now left the project and returned back home to his partber and two children 😊.

He will be sorely missed as a resident, he was a huge part of our community and was a brilliant character to have around the project πŸ’―.

It is bittersweet when someone leaves, the first thought is sadness in a way, but then happiness as we know that they achieved what they came here to achieve, to turn their lives around and get back to living the life they want to lead ❀️.

JK is an amazing person, I personally have a lot of love for him and sometimes wish I had a bit more of what JK has in terms of his no fear approach and tackling things without fear.

The world would be a better place with more people like JK πŸ’―.

See you later mate, this is not goodbye, for you will always be a valued member of our family 😊.

πŸ“’Friends & Family Support Group – Today at 10:30am! πŸ“’

After a few weeks off over the summer, our Friends & Family Support Group is back β€” and we’re looking forward to welcoming everyone back through the doors.

Today's session will focus on three things that can be incredibly difficult to navigate when addiction has affected a family or relationship:

❀️ Feelings, Trust & ForgivenessπŸ•ŠοΈ

We’ll explore the feelings that come with loving someone through addiction, what happens to trust when it’s been damaged, and whether forgiveness is always necessary β€” and what forgiveness can actually look like.

As always, this is a safe and supportive space to talk openly, listen to others who understand, and hopefully leave with a little more understanding of yourself and the person you’re supporting.

Whether you’ve been coming regularly or this will be your first time, whether you know someone at the project or not - you’ll be very welcome.

πŸ“… Saturday 5th September
⏰ 10:30am – 12pm
πŸ“ The Dynamo Project, 21 Allesley Old Road, Coventry, CV5 8BU

We’re looking forward to seeing you all again πŸ’™

You don’t have to navigate recovery alone β€” and neither do families.

On Sunday October 4th, we will be playing in the memorial football match against Stay Strong United 😊.

Last year we heard the devastating news of the passing of Callum Kinzett which had such a profound effect on all those that knew him.

Callum was a huge part of our project, his loss is felt every single day. Callum was also a huge part of the Stay Strong community and Sean Davies and the rest of their community have worked so hard to continually honour his memory ❀️.

We held our first memorial game last year and the amount of support was incredible and we raised a lot of money where every penny went to Callum's family.

We go again this year, and we would love to see as many people as we can join us, Callum's family will also be in attendance and we want to show them how much Callum meant to all of us πŸ’―.

This wil be a ticketed event, with tickets priced at Β£5. We have also set up an eventbrite option where people can buy tickets, even if you cant make it, buying a ticket means so much to us, Stay Strong and Callum's family.

Every penny raised goes directly to Callum's family.

The link in which to purchase tickets is below πŸ‘‡

This years game is being held at Coventrysphinx Socialclub, kick off 2pm 😊.

Callum's memory will always live on, he was loved by so many and we all miss him every day.

Drop us a comment below and let us know if you can make it on the day. Also, if you want to be involved in any way, let us know, we would welcome any prizes for the raffle we will be holding on the day 😊.

Huge congratulations to our resident Jonny, who celebrates 3 months clean and sober 😊.

Jonny has been such a great lad to have around the project, he is always smiling, puts so much effort into all that we do and to see him get to 3 months is incredible πŸ’―.

He was proudly wearing a t-shirt his dad brought him...

'I am proof theres life after addiction'

There certainly is, it may not be the life we want straight away but the longer we stay clean, the more effort we put in, our lives keep changing for the better.

Congratulations Jonny, we are all so proud of you ❀️.

This is Danny, and he is celebrating 5 months clean and sober 😊.

The change in him has been incredible, he looks so much more healthier, he is smiling a lot more and working hard in his recovery πŸ’―.

He is a wonderful resident, always respectful, gets his head down and gets on with whatever it is he needs to do. We are all very proud of what he has achieved so far.

We keep moving forward and in recovery the more you put in then the more you get out, it is very excited to see where this journey takes Danny 😊.

Congratulations Danny, 5 months is an amazing achievement and keep being you....

As your are enough ❀️.

It is an incredible feeling to being able to write this post, as we celebrate with our amazing resident JK, who can say with such immense pride that he is today 1 year clean and sober 😊.

What can we say about JK, those who know him well understand the troubles he has been through, trapped in active addiction for many years, with no hope of ever finding a way out.

But today, for him to reach a whole year clean and sober is quite an outstanding achievement, the work he has put in over the past year has been incredible, he has grafted so hard and the change in him has been amazing to see πŸ’―.

JK above all else is loving, caring and would do anything to help others, he literally has a huge heart, and a personality that others warm too.

We all love him here, he is a huge part of our community, he displays selfless behaviour daily and only wants the best for other people 😊.

JK struggles sometimes to show himself that same level of love, he has been more comfortable in the past accepting abuse over praise. But not today, he is well and truly in recovery and can now be the person he is proud to look at in the mirror ❀️.

His two young children have their dad back, he is present today and this is all they ever needed from him. A special mention to his partner Gem who has stood by his side through thick and thin.

Congratulations JK, what an inspirational journey you have been on, you truly show others recovery is possible and today is your day πŸ’―.

We love you mate, we are so happy for you and your family...

1 year clean..
