Huge congratulations to our resident Lee, who is celebrating 7 months clean and sober 😊.

It has been amazing to see the change in him, when he first came in it took him a while to find his bearings, but day by day he has grew into his recovery and the progress he has made has been incredible 💯.

Lee is such a great lad, always polite, respectful and gets on with what he needs to, he is a pleasure to have around the project.

We are so proud of you Lee, 7 months is incredible, I bet you didnt think this would be possible just over 7 months ago but here we are, you are a shining example that recovery is possible ❤️.

💭 “What would your average day have looked like, before recovery?”

Nathan’s story is harrowing. Waking up in doorways, soaking wet after it had rained all night. Daily criminal activity in order to feed his addiction every single day. Sometimes going days if not weeks without sleep. Stuck in a cycle that he couldn’t even see a way out of, let alone knowing where to start or who to go to for help.

Luckily, his Nan took him in… and after this he was able to come to us here at The Dynamo Project.

This Ryan and we are so proud of him as he celebrates 9 month's clean and sober 😊.

Ryan's journey has been incredible, the change in this man has been nothing short of miraculous. He works so hard in his recovery and has gone from strength to strength 💯.

He is applying himself fully to all areas of his recovery, he stes an amazing example to all those around him and is someone who has been an absolute pleasure to work alongside.

Ryan is now also focusing on giving back, he volunteers with us each Wednesday, he is also volunteering at Warwick Row Coffee shop on a Monday and helps feed the vulnerable on a Sunday ❤️.

He is now a stable and consistent presence in his sons life, he can now be the dad he wants to be and also the son he needs to be for his mum 😊.

On top of all that, he is just a lovely, caring and loving person and he deserves all the happiness in the world, huge congratulations Ryan...

9 months is an amazing achievement and you are a perfect example of what Dynamo stands for..

Letter to my addiction 📝

One of our residents was brave enough to share his letter, in the hopes that it’ll raise awareness, and could help other people out there who are struggling.

We’ll be covering more on relapse… as it is often an unfortunate reality of the recovery process for many people, and it’s something we think is important to address.

It’s not that you fell, it’s that you chose to get back up. And this time, you’re not starting from scratch, you’re starting from experience.

We are so proud of our resident Levi, who is celebrating 3 months clean and sober 😊.

Levi is a great lad, never complains, gets on with whatever we ask him to do and there has been a big change in him over these past 3 months 💯.

We are definitely moving in the right direction, we are sure he is focused on what he needs to do but he will be keen on getting back to work, living his life his own way and what a start he has made.

Congratulations Levi, you have been a wonderful addition, caused no issues and with each passing day you are a step closer to getting to where you need to be ❤️.

At The Dynamo Project CIC, we support people rebuilding their lives after drug and alcohol addiction. Our four homes provide a safe, stable place for 27 residents, alongside our gym, Callums Kabin and garden.

🎥 Dynamo Diaries is a new series we’ll be posting, covering the lives of some of our residents here at The Project. You’ll hear first hand, in their own words, their experiences, thoughts and feelings as they move through their recovery journey. Thought provoking questions; deep answers.

… starting with Nathan. Nathan has suffered with a lifetime of addiction. The change in him since being here at The Dynamo Project is incredible and we’re excited to see where his journey takes him.

There’s more to come from Nathan, and many of our other residents too.

If us sharing some of our moments here, and our residents willingly opening up about their stories, can help just one person who may be going through a hard time, then we’re happy with that.
