Jenny has been involved with the Good Funeral The Good Funeral Guide CIC Working Party, consisting of a small group of independent, progressive funeral directors.
We were working in the wake of publicity surrounding a small number of funeral directors who were exposed as treating the dead and the bereaved in an appalling way, and we were seeking to suggest regulatory guidelines to the government that were designed entirely for the benefit of the public, rather than the funeral sector.
The Good Funeral Guide CIC has, today, put those documents into the public domain. You can read all about them and the process we went through- and are still pursuing in this article.
Jenny is immensely proud of the part she was able to play in this process, and for the opportunity to work with an amazing group of funeral directors to write something of real value to protect the bereaved and to ensure that the funeral sector is fit for purpose
