Recent news from Hull has understandably raised concerns about the care and standards families should expect from a funeral director. We ourselves are shocked and saddened that this has happened to these families.

At Whitehouse Funeral Service, we are proud to be a National Society of Allied & Independent Funeral Directors (SAIF) member and part of a community of independent funeral directors committed to professional and compassionate care.

We are regularly inspected and voluntarily regulated under the UK Funeral Director Code. Families also have access to an independent complaints process through SAIF, delivered by an externally audited and Chartered Trading Standards Institute-certified body.

We hope these safeguards offer added reassurance that families and their loved ones will be treated with care, dignity and respect.

Tracey was truly touched to receive a beautiful bouquet of flowers from a family she recently had the privilege of caring for.

We would also like to thank another lovely family who surprised us with the most beautiful homemade lemon cupcakes. They were absolutely stunning and every bit as delicious as they looked!

Dorothy Whitehouse and the ladies of Sharing Together Craft Group are pleased to have donated £500 each to four amazing local charities: Bloodrun, GNAAS, RNLI and Great Aycliffe Cancer Support Group this month.

The donations have been made possible through the hard work and dedication of the ladies who spend endless hours creating beautiful crafts to be sold on at local events all year round.
