Quests can be a wonderful way to invigorate our imaginations, to set out to meet a certain challenge, to access our creative skills and to open our hearts to what may arise along the Ways.

Even a mundane errand can become a quest if we see the journey and process as a story unfolding on the page, with us as the protagonist and the encounters we experience. A drive along a wet, flooded lane is actually a water filled, navigational risky business - not just a drive! A visit to a local rural Museum is not just a simple affair, but a quest to find three pieces of treasure with which to connect and unravel connections, stories and more.

As an animist who love to walk liminal wild paths, to relate more to the allies and spirits around me, I simply transfer this approach to the indoor world of a Museum in my Substack post this week. I could not go on my wild Nature exploration yesterday because of 40 mph winds and heavy rain. So off to the local, rural Museum for some liminal searching.....

There is much mixed magic in such places. What did I choose as my Three?

You can find out more in the post and I also share a short 'trodcast' audio from my car before and after my Museum visit for those who like listening to my content(!).

There are clues to the Three in the photos too.....

Tell me which of the Three you would like me to do a longer post on too in the Poll at the bottom of the post.

Enjoy your questing deer ones, I hope you have rich connections along your local Ways.

Come on a wild, meditative journey with me through wildflower meadow sanctity. Into Oak Combes and hollow paths. Dancing with beautiful demoiselles and spritely spirits.

I share this liminal, healing journey of a walk that I took at Kingcombe National Nature Reserve yesterday on my weekend substack post. A place with such deep, Dorset magic, it literally overflows in every part of the reserve.

A through meadows, connecting to the most magical plants, birds and insects. Vibrant and nourishing sanctuary - what a mosaic of sacred wildness.

I went to a local (very old and large) woodland yesterday, as I arrived it started to rain. I created a short dark moon ritual using my portable cauldron. My offerings were in blessing form (spoken and sung), with a few bits of Rosemary.

I burnt petitions of release.

I walked slowly and mindfully, led by the allies.

Noticing Yellow Archangels (wildflowers) in particular. Listening to Blackcaps and Firecrest (both now uncommon).

Drinking up the cleansing flow of energy that was created from the rain coming through the trees.

Blessing each step of the Ways.

I took my Greenwood Tarot deck along too....🦌

This New Moon has had me shining a light on the topic of Sacred Alliances in my new Substack post.

The alliances we make with our own Spirits (either knowingly or unknowingly) and the ones we can cultivate with Others. Be they people, plant, animal, spirits, places....

Also how solitude (mindful and compassionate alone time) can be so important to enable the right type of community connections and alliances to evolve or grow.

So this is why both solitude and alliances are included! I have felt the New Moon swirling up all sorts of connections and insights along the Ways over the past several days. I have spent time with allies on the liminal paths and noticed so many new allies emerging. I have an alliance with a certain wooded path that I follow from home, that eventually leads to a cross paths by an English Oak tree. This cross paths is a space I feel I now can call an alliance. We work together.

Sacred alliances are mutually supportive or connected. We need to remember to be courteous, to offer our help, to show compassion, to notice....Rather than just arriving and asking for help.

It is this shared relationship which creates a sense of deeper connection and belonging for us I believe.

Have a good Sunday, take some slow steps, notice the little connections, remember your Self if you can.
