DOROTHY JOHNSTON

Vera, Freda and families of the late Dorothy Johnston wish to express their sincere thanks to all who sympathised with them in their recent sad bereavement.

Heartfelt thanks to all those who sent cards, attended the funeral or gave donations in lieu of flowers to Northern Ireland Chest, Heart and Stroke.

A special word of appreciation to the staff in the Downe and Ulster Hospitals, also the carers who visited her daily.

As a family we are deeply grateful to Rev. Owen Patterson for all his pastoral care and conducting the funeral service.

Thanks also to Charles Rourke and Sons with special mention to Aimée for the dignified and professional manner in which the funeral arrangements were carried out.

It would be impossible to thank everyone individually so please accept this acknowledgement as an expression of our gratitude.

We the family of the late Allan Hudson who passed away on 27th September 2026, wish to express our heartfelt thanks and gratitude to all those who sympathised with them on their recent sad bereavement.

Sincere thanks to all our kind relatives, friends and neighbours Allan’s work colleagues, past and present who attended the wake and funeral, sent Mass cards sympathy cards, made donations to Cancer Research or helped in any way.

A special thanks to Fr Aidan Brankin for celebrating the beautiful Mass, to Eamon Quinn for all his assıstance at both Mass and graveside. To Sarah McVeigh for providing the lovely music and singing.

Thank you to doctors and staff of ward 5F and ICU in the Royal Victoria Hospital for their care to Allan during his illness.

Thank you to Charles Rourke & Sons Funeral Directors and Aimee for their help, guidance and kindness shown to us through this very difficult time.

MORGAN, 19th October 2026, MARTIN (Marty), suddenly at hospital, late of Spa Nursing Home and formerly of Ardglass, beloved son of the late Eddie and Agnes Morgan and dearly loved brother of Pat and Frank and the late Anthony and Maura, a dear brother-in- law and much loved uncle.

May he rest in peace.

Funeral Service will be held in Charles Rourke & Sons’ Funeral Church, 51 Church Street, Downpatrick, BT30 6EH on Thursday 22nd October at 1.00pm, followed by interment in Struell Cemetery, Downpatrick.

Martin will be reposing in Charles Rourke & Sons’ Funeral Home, address as above, on Wednesday 21st October between 5.00pm - 7.00pm, with the family in attendance.

Very deeply regretted and will be lovingly remembered by his sorrowing family and friends.

May she rest in peace.

Requiem Mass will be held at St. Patrick’s Church, Saul on Wednesday 21st October at 10.00 am, followed by interment in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Ballynahinch.
Olive will be reposing in Charles Rourke & Sons’ Funeral Home, 51 Church Street Downpatrick, BT30 6EH on Tuesday 20th October between 6.00 - 9.00pm, with the family in attendance.

First anniversary Mass for Kevin (Chipper) Connolly will be held on Monday 19th October at 7.30pm in St. Patrick’s Church Downpatrick.

Dad was an amazing man, always happy, always smiling, and always bringing warmth and joy to everyone around him. His kindness, love and wonderful sense of humour touched so many lives, and his smile will forever remain in our hearts.

Although a year has passed, not a day goes by that we don’t think of him, miss him and wish he was still here with us.

Forever loved, forever missed, and never forgotten. ❤️

The family of the late Peter Brendan Ayre would like to express their sincere appreciation to everyone who has supported them during their recent sad bereavement.

Special thanks to the staff of Wards 1 and 2 at the Downe Hospital, particularly the doctors and nurses who went above and beyond to ensure that Peter could spend his final weeks at home. The family are deeply grateful to the palliative care team, district nurses, the doctors from the Green Surgery and the carers from Down Community Care for their kindness, compassion and devoted care of Peter.

Heartfelt thanks to family, friends and neighbours who sent messages, Mass and sympathy cards, paid their respects, made donations to NI Hospice and attended Peter’s funeral service. Your kindness and support have meant so much to the family during this difficult time.

Sincere thanks to Deacon Jackie Breen for his visits to Peter in hospital, his support and comfort to the family, and for conducting such a beautiful funeral service.

The family would also like to thank Claire, Aimée and all the staff of Charles Rouke and Sons Funeral Directors for their compassion, professionalism and the dignified manner in which Peter’s funeral arrangements and service were conducted.

Peter’s Months Mind Mass will be celebrated in St Patrick’s Church, Downpatrick on Saturday 24th October at 5pm.

As it is impossible to thank everyone individually, the family hope that this acknowledgement will be accepted as an expression of their deepest gratitude and appreciation to all who have offered kindness, comfort and support.
