East Riding Crematorium

East Riding Crematorium East Riding Crematorium, otherwise known as Octon Crematorium, opened in May 1997 by Tony Warburton. We are more than a place of farewell.

We are a sanctuary of stillness,
where love is remembered and lives are honoured with grace.

Sometimes, an interruption can change everything.

A message. A phone call. A conversation. Sitting beside someone. Asking, “Are you okay?”
When someone is struggling with suicidal thoughts, these small moments of connection can create a pause, an opportunity to interrupt those thoughts and remind someone that they’re not alone.

You don’t have to have the right words, and you don’t have to be an expert. You just need to care enough to reach out.

This World Su***de Prevention Day, let’s look out for the people around us. If something doesn’t feel right, start the conversation. That small interruption could make more of a difference than you realise.

💛 If you’re worried about someone, don’t be afraid to ask.

If you or someone you know needs someone to talk to, Samaritans are available 24/7 on 116 123.

Keep loved ones close with a Memory Pebble 🤍

These beautiful glass pebbles are hand-blown, with gorgeous hints of colour and soft sand running throughout. Designed to sit perfectly in the palm of your hand, they are wonderfully tactile and can hold a small token of a loved one’s ashes or a lock of hair.

Available in a beautiful range of colours and designs, each pebble is unique and can be chosen to reflect the person and memories you hold dear.

A secure stopper keeps the keepsake safely enclosed, with the option to seal it for added security and peace of mind.

A small, personal keepsake to hold, treasure and keep your loved one close 💫

If you’d like further information or to see the full range, please don’t hesitate to contact us.

Home memorials offer a gentle and meaningful way to keep a loved one close, creating a cherished keepsake that can be treasured for years to come 🤍

From comforting teddy bears with discreet compartments for ashes, to beautiful photo frames, pebble and cuddle stones incorporating ashes, and elegant paperweights available in a range of colours, there are many ways to create something truly personal.

Some people choose a single memorial to keep at home, while others have a personal keepsake at home alongside a special memorial garden at the crematorium. There is no right or wrong way to remember someone. Every person, every relationship and every memory is unique and we believe memorials should be too.

Personal. Important. Timeless.
