East Riding Crematorium, otherwise known as Octon Crematorium, opened in May 1997 by Tony Warburton. We are more than a place of farewell.

We are a sanctuary of stillness,
where love is remembered and lives are honoured with grace.

Following the recent high winds, we would like to reassure families and visitors that we are taking every care to look after the memorial gardens here at East Riding Crematorium.

We understand how much sentimental value the personal items, flowers and tributes placed in our gardens hold. These items are precious reminders of loved ones, and we appreciate how important they are to the families who visit us.

Our team is doing their very best to keep everything in its rightful place, but unfortunately, with strong winds, some items may be moved or disturbed despite our best efforts.

We kindly ask for your understanding during these periods of unsettled weather. Please be assured that we will continue to do all we can to care for our gardens and the special tributes placed within them.

If you’re considering ordering a memorial for your loved one, you can still order at our current prices before the change takes effect. (All quotes are honoured for 30 days)

What a beautiful morning here at the Memorial Gardens. 🌞🍂 The sun is shining, autumn has arrived, and the gardens are looking beautiful with the changing colours of the season.

There’s plenty of wildlife to enjoy too, from the birds singing and flying amongst the trees to the other little creatures that call the gardens home. 🐦🌿🍁
