DG Voice

DG Voice The voice of disabled people in Dumfries and Galloway DG Voice is a region-wide organisation of disabled people.

We work to ensure that Dumfries and Galloway businesses and organisations consider the needs and rights of all disabled people in everything they do. We are a place for people who experience disability to have their say about any matters that affect them. DG Voice is registered with OSCAR and Companies House and governed by a Board of Directors. Recognising the abilities of disabled people and our

capacity to work on our own behalf, the DG Voice constitution requires that 75% of our members be disabled people.

Thank you to everyone who came for a chat, it was lovely to see you. Watch out for more vents we'll be at or organising in your local area.

As it is so we thought it would be a good time to let you know we are looking for volunteers.

How would you like to use your voice and life experience to create real change in our community? DG Voice is looking for volunteers and you could be just who we’re looking for.

We’re a Disabled People’s Organisation (DPO) led by and for disabled people, and we work hard to make sure disabled people, those with long-term health conditions, neurodivergent folks, unpaid carers, and everyone facing barriers are properly heard and included in the decisions that affect our lives.

Volunteer opportunities are flexible and match what you enjoy and what you can offer. You could get involved in:

Community engagement
Events & awareness campaigns
Social media and communications
Fundraising and projects
Sharing your lived experience
Admin support and loads more!

Whether you’ve got a few hours a month or want to dive in deeper, your contribution matters. We’re accessible and supportive, and together we’re stronger.

Ready to be heard, get involved, and help create a more inclusive world? Drop us a message or email [email protected] or message us on Facebook DG Voice
