Online ordering of repeat prescriptions

Just a reminder to patients that since we moved to our new clinical system, the Patient Access service used for ordering repeat prescriptions has been disabled.

Patients who were previously registered for Patient Access should have received an email inviting them to sign up to the new system called Patient Services. Anyone wishing to register for the service, who has not received an email, can do so by contacting the Practice.

Please note that this is a completely new provider and nothing to do with Patient Access. Once registered, you can order repeat prescriptions by logging onto the Patient Services website

Enjoy the convenience of GP online services with the ability to interact with your GP practice at any time of the day or night, wherever you are.

As many of you are aware, we have recently moved to a new clinical system along with several other Forth Valley Practices including Tillicoultry, Alva and Bridge of Allan.

This system change has been imposed by the Scottish Government due to the withdrawal of the original IT provider and not through any choice of the Practices. Unfortunately we are all experiencing significant issues.

Tillicoultry and Alva have given us permission to use their most recent Facebook post by way of an update for our own patients and would like to thank our patients for their continued patience and understanding. We really do appreciate it.

Since changing to a new clinical computer system, we have been experiencing significant technical issues which are affecting the speed at which our team can carry out everyday tasks.

Unfortunately, many processes are taking considerably longer than they did previously and we have lost functionality that our previous clinical system had.

This is having an impact on a number of areas, including:

• Telephone waiting times
• Prescription processing
• Appointment administration
• Referrals and other administrative work

Our staff are working incredibly hard, including undertaking additional hours, to minimise disruption and maintain patient care.
We have raised our concerns with the relevant teams and continue to work with them to seek improvements.

We understand that delays can be frustrating and sincerely apologise for any inconvenience caused. We kindly ask for your patience while we continue to navigate these challenges.

Abuse of any kind towards our staff will not be tolerated. Thank you for your support and understanding.

Clinical System migration

Just a reminder to patients that we will be unable to book routine appointments or blood tests until Wednesday 3rd June, while we migrate to a new clinical system. Please don't call before this time as we are unable to create appointment schedules until our new system goes live and appointments in our current system will not transfer over.

Please also request any prescriptions required during the downtime by Thursday 21st May to allow us to process these by close of day on Friday 22nd May.

We will be operating an emergency service during the down period.

We apologise for any inconvenience.
