πŸ’™ "Part of my success was due to the fact I didn't have to reinvent my diet like the other weight loss programmes want you to and still felt like I was allowed to live normally."

This is a quote from Mick*, who has recently completed the Eatwise programme. His weight was having an impact on his mental wellbeing and he turned to support from π—ͺ𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗯𝗲𝗢𝗻𝗴 𝗳𝗼𝗿 π—Ÿπ—Άπ—³π—² to make a change. His original lack of motivation turned into action and he gained many mental and physical health benefits without compromising his enjoyment of life.

πŸ’™ We have a wonderful success story from the π—ͺ𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗯𝗲𝗢𝗻𝗴 𝗳𝗼𝗿 π—Ÿπ—Άπ—³π—² Eatwise programme to share.

Emma joined the Eatwise programme wanting to improve her diet and hopefully lose some weight in the process.

Not being very confident in herself at the beginning, her practitioner Kevin slowly worked through the programme, educating Emma on the Eatwell guide and what her plate of food for meals should consist and portion control. The two of them agreed on and set realistic goals each week based around the subject type, like reducing portion sizes, reducing unhealthy snacking, and increasing her activity levels.

Emma embraced the programme with enthusiasm and smashed every goal set; she improved her diet by cutting out the unhealthy snacking and food types, replacing with healthy balanced meals. Her activity increased massively, from just walking to work occasionally to daily steps over and above 10,000, two to three swimming sessions and even going to a local gym following her swims. Emma has also reduced her alcohol intake. Overall, Emma has lost over two stone in this journey and is feeling happier and healthier for it.

Well done, Emma!

πŸ’™ Last Friday, David and Kellie from π—ͺ𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗯𝗲𝗢𝗻𝗴 𝗳𝗼𝗿 π—Ÿπ—Άπ—³π—² attended the launch of the Coalfields Regeneration Trust Seaham Hub.

The event was well attended, including Councillor Milford Lingard, MP Grahame Morris and Coalfields Regeneration trust CEO Andy Lock. We were also alongside other fantastic services and members of the public.

We had some great conversations at our resource and information stand. Thank you for having us there for the launch of this exciting new opportunity for the local community.
