Before you leave, remember to:
💙 Check that your adrenaline devices are in date.

We are pleased to confirm that Simon Ashton will join South Central Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust and SECAmb as Group Chief Executive on Monday 5 October 2026.

Ahead of his official start date, Simon will spend time across both Trusts during September, visiting teams and services, meeting colleagues and learning more about the patients and communities we serve.

Simon joins us at an important stage in the development of both our Group and the wider UK ambulance service, as it develops further clinical services and harnesses technological innovation to better support the NHS 10-year plan to move services closer to home.

We look forward to welcoming Simon to both Trusts as we continue our journey together, building on the strong foundations already established across the Group to deliver the best possible outcomes for our patients, communities and colleagues.
