Last weekend I took myself to the Golden Gong Gathering. I spend the weekend with a group of incredible sound healers, gong makers and most of all beautiful people. The weekend was spend fire walking, playing Martin Brase titanium gongs, being part of incredible sound baths, talks and workshops, including Bear playing the spinning 80” golden gong and another highlight was watching and experiencing Mike Tamburo playing the gongs. And then just before I left for the journey back north, an incredible 40” Nepalese singing gong found its way into my van 😁thank you Aleka Powell | Breathwork | Gong | Training

💛 Nepal is very close to my heart 🇳🇵

Through my work with Himalayan singing bowls, I have had the privilege of building a wonderful relationship with the makers in Kathmandu.

Right now, Nepal is facing devastating flash floods, affecting so many communities and families. It is a country that has already endured so much, including the devastating earthquake a few years ago, and once again people are facing the unimaginable consequences of a natural disaster.

Nepal is a beautiful country, but it is also a country with limited resources, and they desperately need our help.

I have just made a donation to support those affected. 🙏

If you are able to, I would be so grateful if you would consider making a donation too, whatever you can give, however small, can make a difference.

For me, this is personal. Nepal holds a very special place in my heart, and I feel deeply connected to the wonderful people I have met there.

This week I had the pleasure to run an Animal Reiki Practitioner course for a group of super lovely women. In Module One we will be looking at Sound Healing in general, and then start to learn and work with crystal bowls, the energy system and crystal bowls, cleansing, programming and working one-to-one as a therapy.

Module Two covers working with Himalayan Bowls one-to-one, we look at the different types, how they are made, playing techniques and advanced techniques and layouts. There will be plenty of practice time on this course with your fellow students.
​
In Module Three we will be looking at working with Groups and Sound Healing. Choosing a location, cost of venues and booking, cleansing and protecting the healing space, public awareness during sound bath, insurance. Different techniques working with various sounds, instruments and voice during a sound bath. Advertising the event plus lots more.

In order to be awarded a Practitioner Certificate from the College of Sound healing, a total of 18 case studies will need to be completed and there will be an assessment on giving a group sound bath which is covered on Part Three. ​
​
The Training Course takes place at The Harmony Hub in Chorley, Lancashire. This course is based upon hands-on experiential training and students get support from a highly experienced Tutor.
​
TIME : 10.00am - 4.30pm Saturday and Sunday or Monday and Tuesday
​
COST : £250.00 per module (3 modules in total)
