“What keeps us separate from one another?”
If connection is something most of us long for, why is it often so difficult?🤔
Most of us learn very early in life which parts of ourselves are welcomed and which parts are not.
Perhaps we learned that being emotional was too much.
Being sensitive was weakness.
Being different was unsafe.
Being honest created conflict.
And so we adapt. We edit ourselves. Hide our fears. Conceal our struggles.
Present a more acceptable version. Not because we’re being false. But because we’re being human. We all want belonging.
The irony is that the very things we fear will disconnect us from others, are often the things that create genuine connection.
Our struggles. Our challenges. Our uncertainty. Our humanity.
Belonging is not becoming who others want you to be. Belonging is being accepted for who you already are and human connection grows in the space where authenticity is allowed. 🙏❤️❤️❤️

PROJECT KINDRED SPIRITS 💫💫💫 PHASE 2

Here’s a wee update on what’s been going on behind the scenes. I’ve tried to keep a picture diary of progress, in creating this space which I hope many people will come to. Anyhoo…the last few weeks myself, my other half and his brilliant landscaping buddy have been grafting outside to create a space which now has a carpark.

Next phase in JULY is to build a space for workshops, yoga, sound baths and welcome a spiritual community here. It’s been exhausting but each time we move a little bit further forward. 🙏👌💫.

I wonder if a consequence of modern life is that we have NOT stopped talking and we’ve stopped truly hearing ….
Not because we don’t care…but because we’re so distracted, busy, overloaded with information and mentally elsewhere.
Yet, genuine listening feels increasingly rare… and that raises a question 🤔🤔

What are we no longer hearing??
This isn’t just about conversations with others. It touches every part of our life.
How often do we ignore the bodies signals. Tiredness, tension, physical pain.
Overriding intuition because it doesn’t fit the plan we’ve already made.

What if listening isn’t about waiting for your turn to speak. What if listening is allowing yourself to be changed by what you hear. 🤔🤔.
