What's going on with those TOES?! 🐾

We had beautiful Ellwood visit us a few weeks ago at our Dundas St branch for an abdominal scan.
She has a genetic mutation called polydactyly which means she has (more than) a few extra toes.

Ellwood is a special case not only because this condition is rarely seen in our Domestic Short Hair breeds and much more common in Maine C***s but it is also usually reserved for one foot rather than all four! ❤️

The condition does not affect Ellwood medically and is just a beautiful quirk that our nurses and vets love to see. 😊

We had a Male (not neutered) Tabby cat handed into our Lochend Branch yesterday following a road traffic accident who sadly did not make it.

The cat is not microchipped so we cannot reunite him with his owner. 😢

Happy Monday!! 💕

Everyone needs a puppy puddle on a Monday and our lucky team at Lochend Road got to cuddle with these little darlings when they came in for their first health checks last week. 🩺 💉

We hear that they were super brave. 🐾

We've had a lovely female cat handed into our Lochend Branch on Tuesday the 14th.

She is Cinnamon Brown and was found near Lochend Gardens with severe skin irritation and a blue 🐾 paw print soft collar on, which we assume was on to prevent her from scratching.

Unfortunately she is not microchipped so we cannot reunite her with her owners. 😢

We will keep her in our Dundas Street Branch for another 24-48hrs to continue monitoring her condition after which point she will be taken to Edinburgh Dog and Cat Home.

We have had a lovely young female dog handed into our branch at Dundas st. She was found at 6.30am in the Cammo area, she is microchiped but no id registered. She was wearing a grey camouflage collar with no tag. Please contact our Dundas st branch on 0131 557 1819. We will be able to keep her here till lunchtime but then she will be moved to the Cat and Dog home. Thanks
