Eyre Place Osteopathic Practice

Eyre Place Osteopathic Practice Expert team of osteopaths offering effective treatment in New Town, Edinburgh. Book online or phone for an appointment. That's why there are Osteopaths, like us.

Thorough assessment, pain relief, mobility improvement and protecting your long-term health. Nature has provided each of us with a body that has evolved over millions of years to serve us perfectly for our purpose. Unfortunately, that purpose was to hunt and gather, not to slouch on sofas, lean over computer keyboards or drive vehicles for hours on end! We're here to prevent and correct the damage

that modern living does to our bodies. So if you're one of those Homo Sapiens that prefers to hunt for a chair and gather aches and pains, we could help you to feel a bit more human!

Osteopathy is much more than just the hands-on treatment you receive. It's also about reassuring you, answering questions, collaborating on a plan to improve your health and helping you make sense of your symptoms. A recent study is resetting the research agenda for the profession across Europe, to try and capture these important but difficult to measure aspects of our role.https://www.eyreplaceosteopath.co.uk/researching-osteopathic-care/

Osteopaths study to degree level then have to complete 30 hours of Continuous Professional Development every year, covering our core osteopathic practice standards. Jane and Mary recently attended a first aid in the workplace course. Although this isn’t a mandatory subject in our CPD cycle, it is a good skillset to have in any workplace, as well as life. It covered CPR and the emergency response, defibrillator use, the recovery position, bandaging wounds, and conditions such as seizures, diabetes, anaphylaxis and asthma. Jane really enjoyed the course, but she would prefer it if her skills were not put to the test ☺️
