🐾 Meet little Violet 💜
Sometimes the smallest patients have the biggest stories.
Violet had a heartbreaking start to life. She was one of five tiny kittens found trapped in a car. Sadly, two of the kittens had already passed away before they were discovered. Two more were rescued and taken to a nearby veterinary practice, but little Violet was still missing.
She was eventually found trapped inside the car's engine compartment. Thanks to the quick thinking of a kind member of the public, the Fire Brigade was called and successfully freed her. She was then brought into the care of Cats Protection, who entrusted us with her treatment.
Unfortunately, Violet's tail had suffered severe damage, most likely from the heat and trauma inside the engine bay. Today, at just around five weeks old, she underwent surgery to amputate the damaged section of her tail.
Anaesthetising such a young kitten always carries additional risks, but thanks to the careful monitoring and expertise of our qualified veterinary nurses, Violet remained safe throughout the procedure. Our skilled vet successfully performed the surgery, and we're delighted to say she has made a full recovery from her anaesthetic.
Violet is now beginning her journey to recovery, and we hope it won't be too long before she's ready to find the loving forever home she truly deserves. 🏡💜
A huge thank you to everyone involved in her rescue—from the member of the public who raised the alarm, to the Fire Brigade, Cats Protection, and everyone who helped give this brave little kitten a second chance.
We're all rooting for you, Violet! 🐱✨
