Mental Health Awareness Week at PPG Gillingham π
What a truly uplifting and meaningful week itβs been for us as we came together to recognise Mental Health Awareness Week.
Creating space for connection, gratitude and wellbeing has been at the heart of everything weβve done. From taking time to celebrate our incredible Nurses and ODPs (with plenty of well-deserved treats for International Nurses Day & ODP Day), to moving our bodies in a fantastic Zumba session led by Katherine Drummond itβs been all about finding those moments that boost both our physical and mental wellbeing.
One of the standout moments was our evening walk around St Maryβs Island. Stepping away from the workplace and spending time together in a more relaxed setting gave us the opportunity to connect on a deeper level, something so important for supporting positive mental health. It was wonderful to see colleagues, children, and even dogs all come together and enjoy that sense of community.
We also introduced a gratitude board, giving everyone the chance to recognise and appreciate one another. The messages shared were genuinely heart-warming and a powerful reminder of the impact kindness, recognition, and support can have on our mental wellbeing.
This week has shown how small, intentional actions like connecting, moving, appreciating and listening can make a big difference.
A huge thank you to everyone who took part, shared their experiences, and helped highlight such an important topic. Letβs continue these conversations and support one another not just this week but every day. π
