🤠🐾 The countdown to the Eaglesham Fair is on!

This weekend, Joanna will be taking part in the Owner & Pet Fancy Dress competition, and she's been busy creating this cowboy hat especially for the occasion.

A big thank you to for supplying the materials and helping bring the idea to life.

We'll keep the rest of the outfit under wraps for now, but let's just say there's a Western theme involved! 🌵⭐

Wish us luck, and if you're heading along to the Eaglesham Fair, come and say hello.

🌿 Gardening Season = Back Pain Season ☀️

After a long winter indoors, it’s tempting to spend hours in the garden the moment the sunshine appears 🌼

The problem? Your spine might not be quite as enthusiastic 😅

At this time of year we often see:
🔸 Lower back strains from bending and lifting
🔸 Sciatica flare-ups after digging or weeding
🔸 Neck and shoulder tension from repetitive tasks
🔸 Knee stiffness after prolonged crouching

💡 One of the biggest mistakes is trying to do everything in one day. Gradually building activity levels is far kinder on your back and joints.

Quick Gardening Tips 🌱
✔ Break tasks into shorter sessions
✔ Alternate positions regularly
✔ Avoid twisting while lifting
✔ Stretch gently afterwards
✔ Don’t ignore those early “warning twinges”

A little preparation now can help keep you active and enjoying the garden all summer long 🌸

👣 Plantar Fasciitis – The Heel Pain We See Every Spring

One of the most common problems we treat at this time of year is plantar fasciitis.

This often starts as:

🔹 Sharp pain under the heel first thing in the morning

🔹 Pain after walks, golf or standing in the garden

🔹 Tightness in the arch or calf

🔹 A dull ache that gradually worsens over weeks

Many people try to “walk it off”… but unfortunately, heel pain rarely improves when ignored.

✅ Early treatment can make a huge difference.

At Cram Osteopaths, we combine hands-on treatment, rehabilitation advice, shockwave therapy and movement assessment to help patients recover faster and stay active.

📲 Book an appointment if heel pain is beginning to affect your walking, exercise or sleep.

We’re delighted to be featured in this month’s Westender Magazine alongside one of our incredible patients, Margaret. 🌊

From Disc Herniations to Diving Again 🌊🤿

After undergoing IDD Therapy for multiple disc herniations, Margaret worked incredibly hard to get herself back on track — and seeing her scuba diving again is an amazing milestone. 🤿

Her story is a fantastic example of how the right treatment, commitment, and support can help people return to doing the things they love most.

Thank you to for highlighting Margaret’s journey and allowing us to be part of her recovery story.

If you’re struggling with back pain, disc problems, or sciatica and want to explore your treatment options, get in touch with our team today to find out how we can help you get back to doing what you love. 💙

⛳️ A brilliant day at the Scottish Osteopathic Society Annual Golf Tournament at Bonnyton Golf Club!

Fantastic to see osteopaths from across Scotland coming together for some friendly competition, plenty of laughs, and a reminder that movement, community and wellbeing go hand in hand ☀️🏌️‍♂️🏌️‍♀️

Representing the day were Joanna Cram, Michael Brown, Alex Hawley, Heidi Cram, John Cleat, Colin Ross and James Sneddon — with the event proudly sponsored by Cram Osteopaths.

A huge congratulations to this year’s winner, Colin Ross 🏆
A recently retired osteopath from Aberdeen, Colin showed he has certainly not lost his touch on the golf course! 👏

Events like these are always a great reminder of the friendships and community within the osteopathic profession, both on and off the fairways.

Well played everyone ⛳️

“The biggest mistake we see with back pain?” 🤔

Trying to figure it out alone.

Should you rest? 🛌
Keep moving? 🚶
Stretch it?
Ignore it?

Back pain can be confusing — especially when advice online says completely different things.

At Cram Osteopaths, we help people understand what may actually be causing the problem and what the right next step looks like 🧠

For many patients, having a clear plan is the biggest relief of all 🙌

Big plans, more steps 👣, more time on your feet… maybe a bit more than usual 👀

More walking, golf, or time in the garden? 🌿

It’s often these simple things that highlight those little aches or stiffness creeping in.

Osteopathy helps keep you moving well — stopping small issues becoming bigger ones 💡
