☕💙 TOMORROW! Our coffee morning is nearly here! 💙☕

Come along to The Mill Medical Practice tomorrow for a cuppa, cake and a chat, while helping us raise money for the brilliant Andy’s Man Club.

💙 It’s okay to talk. It’s okay to not be okay.

Sometimes life can feel overwhelming, but you don’t have to face everything on your own.

Andy’s Man Club offers free peer-to-peer support groups for men aged 18 and over, providing a safe, welcoming space to talk about life’s challenges, listen to others and connect with people who may understand what you’re going through.

You don’t have to talk if you’re not ready. You can simply turn up, listen and take things at your own pace.

Your local pharmacy can help with certain common health conditions, without you needing to see a GP first.

The NHS Pharmacy First service covers seven conditions:

👂 Earache – children aged 1–17
😷 Sore throats – people aged 5 and over
🌸 Sinusitis – people aged 12 and over
🦠 Infected insect bites – people aged 1 and over
🔴 Impetigo – people aged 1 and over
💗 Shingles – adults aged 18 and over
🚻 Uncomplicated UTIs – women aged 16–64

Your pharmacist can assess your symptoms, offer advice and provide treatment where appropriate.

Not within the age range? Your pharmacist can still offer advice and help you decide what to do next.

💚 Looking after someone? Don’t forget about yourself, too.

If you’re supporting a partner, family member or friend because of illness, disability, mental health difficulties or frailty, you may be an unpaid carer — even if you don’t think of yourself that way.

Caring can be rewarding, but it can also be tiring and sometimes overwhelming. You deserve support, too. ❤️

Have you told your GP practice that you’re a carer?

Letting us know means we can record your caring role and help identify support that may be available to you. Depending on your circumstances, this could include referrals to support services and help checking whether you’re eligible for a free flu vaccination.

💚 If you’re a carer and haven’t registered with us, please contact the practice and ask to be added to our carers register.

🍂 Getting ready for winter

If you’re aged 65 or over, the flu vaccine can help protect you against serious illness this winter.

💉 But did you know you may be eligible even if you’re under 65?

Depending on your circumstances, you may also qualify if you’re a carer, have certain health conditions or have a weakened immune system.

If you’re unsure whether you’re eligible, it’s worth checking the latest NHS guidance.

Everyone is very welcome to come along on the day for a cuppa, a piece of cake and a chat! 🧁☕ It’s a lovely chance to get together, have a natter and support a really important cause.

💙 Children’s Flu Vaccinations 💙

A big thank you to everyone who came along to our Children’s Flu Clinic this morning! It was lovely to see so many of our younger patients getting protected ahead of the winter months. 💉🍂

We were also delighted to welcome some special visitors, Woody and Jessie from Toy Story, who helped make the clinic extra special! 🤠⭐

If your child is eligible and has yet to receive their annual flu vaccination, please contact the practice to arrange an appointment with one of our Nurses.

Children eligible to receive their flu vaccination at the surgery include:

👧 Children who were aged 2 or 3 years on 31 August 2026

💙 Children aged 6 months to under 18 years who have certain long-term health conditions that place them in a clinical risk group.

Most children from Reception to Year 11 will be offered their flu vaccination through their school.

If you’re unsure whether your child is eligible to receive their flu vaccination with us, please contact the practice and our team will be happy to advise.
