Huge Congratulations to Anna 🏫🎓
We are absolutely delighted to celebrate this fantastic achievement!

After three years of hybrid study at the Association of British Dispensing Opticians’ headquarters in Canterbury, alongside her role with us, Anna has passed all of her final examinations first time and is now a fully qualified Dispensing Optician! 👓✨

Anna has been a valued member of our team for an incredible 13 years, and we couldn’t be prouder of the hard work, dedication and commitment she has shown throughout her studies. She has worked incredibly hard to learn her trade and develop her knowledge and skills, all while continuing to be such an important part of our team.

Eclipses are incredible to witness, but protecting your eyes should always come first. 🌑👀 We want you to enjoy this unforgettable experience safely, so here are a few simple tips to help keep your eyes protected.

🌘 Solar eclipse tomorrow – enjoy it safely!

A partial solar eclipse will be visible across the UK tomorrow evening, with more than 90% of the Sun obscured in some areas.

If you’re planning to take a look, remember: never look directly at the Sun without suitable solar viewing protection, even during an eclipse.

☀️ Ordinary sunglasses aren’t safe, no matter how dark they are
🕶️ Use genuine eclipse glasses or solar viewers that meet the ISO 12312-2 safety standard
🔭 Never look at the Sun through binoculars, a telescope or camera unless the equipment has a specialist solar filter
📦 Or try a simple pinhole projector to view the eclipse indirectly
