Moving On Inverclyde A Centre of Excellence facilitating long-term recovery pathways. Supporting People In Inverclyde Since 2002. https://linktr.ee/moinverclyde

Moving On Inverclyde is a support service for people affected by their own or another’s problematic use of alcohol or drugs. We have been providing services in Inverclyde since 2002. We believe everyone has the potential to rebuild their lives and reshape their futures. We also understand those using our service may have other difficulties or situations requiring support besides their recovery. This is why we have a full and robust package of support available through our partnerships and collaborations with local services to empower and enable a successful recovery.

We’re so proud to share that our very own Lorna Murray has taken on an incredible challenge to raise money for Moving On Inverclyde! 🏊🏻

Lorna started her swimming marathon this morning, completing her first 2,000 metres and taking the first step towards her goal. Over the coming weeks, she’ll be switching between Port Glasgow Swimming Pool and Greenock Swimming Pool as she works towards completing her challenge💪

Every penny raised will go directly towards supporting Moving On Inverclyde and helping us continue our work within the local community.

💚 Would you help us support Lorna?

Every donation, no matter how big or small, will make a difference. You can donate online through Lorna’s JustGiving page or get in touch if you’d like to donate cash using one of her sponsorship sheets.

Let's get behind Lorna and cheer her on every step (or should we say, every stroke!) of the way! 🏊‍♀️💚

Thank you, Lorna, for your incredible support!

The Highly Commended Recipient of our Significant Achievement Award 2026 🏆

This highly commended recipient was recognised as the SMART facilitator who's reached a significant milestone or done something that's genuinely left its mark on the people around them, and on SMART Recovery as a whole. Whether that's their 100th meeting, setting up a new group somewhere really needed, an extraordinary commitment to bringing other facilitators onboard, or something else that's had a real impact, this is their moment.

And the highly commended recipient is... 🥁 Joseph Eardley from Moving On Inverclyde! 👏🏼

Joseph came through Moving On Inverclyde's own recovery programme and has become one of their strongest SMART advocates by facilitating closed meetings twice a week, running the open Port Glasgow meeting, and delivering sessions in HMP Greenock for three years. He leads by example and helps others become facilitators too.

Huge congratulations to Joseph, and thank you for your ongoing commitment to UK SMART Recovery 🎉

The nights are drawing in, and for some of us, darker evenings can bring darker thoughts too.

If you're finding this time of year harder, you're not on your own. Whether it's low mood, loneliness, or the pull towards old habits feeling stronger when the sun goes down earlier, we see you and we're here.

Recovery doesn't take a season off. Neither do we. Seven days a week, no waiting list, just real support when you need it.

You don't have to wait until you're at breaking point to reach out. A conversation can be the first step.
