A little hair refresh at Nyne Hair Salon! 💕

Choppy layers, a fresh cut and a gorgeous bouncy blow-dry. Just what my hair needed!

But I also wanted to share something really special about this salon.

Alongside their beautiful cuts, styling and hair extensions, Nyne also specialises in wigs and hair toppers for people experiencing hair loss, including those going through cancer treatment or living with alopecia.

They even have a dedicated private floor for anyone who would prefer a quieter, more personal experience, which I think is such a thoughtful touch.

Having worked with so many people experiencing hair loss over the years, I know just how much confidence and emotion can be tied to our hair.

If you’re looking for support with hair loss, wigs or toppers, I’d really recommend getting in touch with the team.

I’ve decided to sign up for the monthly membership, and here’s why…

After everything I’ve been through with my health over the last couple of years, I’ve really started looking at how I invest in my own wellbeing.

I’ve never been a big drinker, but more recently I’ve had to cut alcohol out completely. And I’ve been thinking, why not put the money I would have spent on a few drinks or evenings out towards something I genuinely enjoy and that makes me feel good?

For me, wellness is about making time for yourself, finding little things that lift you up and prioritising how you feel, especially when life has thrown a lot at you.

So FaceGym is going to be one of those little monthly treats to myself!

Sometimes investing in yourself is the best thing you can do. 🤍

Today I visited in Leeds to experience one of their facial workouts, and I just had to share it with you ladies!

It’s a completely different concept to your usual relaxing facial. Think targeted facial massage, sculpting techniques and a proper workout for those facial muscles!

FaceGym offers treatments designed to help:

• Reduce the appearance of puffiness
• Create a more lifted, sculpted look
• Release facial tension
• Leave skin looking refreshed and glowing

I love discovering new beauty and wellbeing treatments and seeing what they’re actually like for myself.

And the exciting part is, I’m going back in a couple of weeks with my social media manager, Charlotte!

We’re planning to film the whole experience, taking you behind the scenes to show exactly what happens during a FaceGym workout, the techniques they use and what the treatment actually feels like.

One of my favourite ways to make coffee when I want something a little more substantial in the morning.

I blend coffee, hot water and coconut MCT oil until it’s creamy. Coffee provides caffeine, which can support alertness and concentration, while MCTs are fats that are absorbed relatively quickly and can be converted by the liver into ketones for energy.

I personally like it as part of my morning routine, but it’s not a magic metabolism drink and it’s not a replacement for a balanced diet. MCT oil can also upset digestion if you use too much, so if you’re new to it, start small and see how your body responds.

All ready for London and then off to beautiful Florence! 🇮🇹

Keeping my airport outfit classic and comfortable with a gorgeous crisp white shirt and my trusty Donna Ida jeans. You know how much I love these!

I absolutely cannot wait for a few days away and some much-needed R&R (rest and relaxation). Although, knowing me, I’ll still have my phone in hand checking in on work! 😂

For anyone wanting to speak with us at the clinic while I’m away, Gwen, Alexandra and Charlotte are all on hand and happy to help, so you’re in very good hands.

Right, Florence here I come! A few days of beautiful food, w**e and hopefully a little time to switch off.

See you all soon! ❤️

The final Florence packing try-on, ladies! 🇮🇹

Finishing with a classic white shirt, my favourite Donna Ida jeans and, of course, TWO Donna Ida jumpsuits. How could I possibly forget them? They’re absolute wardrobe staples of mine, and I wear them time and time again!

Also packing my gorgeous ME+EM coat. I’m so excited that they now have a beautiful store in Harrogate, and I’ve been invited for lunch with them in a couple of weeks, which I’m really looking forward to!

I think after 45 years I’ve finally mastered the art of packing light… well, almost! 😂

Florence, I’m ready for you! ❤️

When someone has been struggling with chronic eczema for years, there’s often more to explore than what’s happening on the surface of their skin. Skin barrier function, inflammation, nutrition, gut health and environmental factors can all play a role, which is why taking a personalised approach is so important.

By bringing together our knowledge and looking at the bigger picture, we can start to understand what may be contributing to ongoing flare-ups and create a tailored plan to support the skin barrier, overall health and long-term skin resilience. It’s about moving away from the guesswork and understanding what each individual body needs. 🤍

little wellness lunch order as a nutritionist and practitioner at Weetons Farm Shop in Harrogate!

I went for three mixed salads plus ham for protein, which gives me a really balanced lunch with plenty of variety, fibre and something more substantial to help keep me full for the next few hours!
