Harrogate Neighbours We provide outstanding care and support services to the elderly in Harrogate and the surrounding areas.

Harrogate Neighbours runs two of the best elderly care homes in Harrogate and the surrounding area. The Cuttings is our extra care housing in Starbeck, which offers independent living and 24 hour support as well as a new Day Care centre for elderly people to come and socialise. Heath Lodge is our residential home in Boroughbridge, which offers additional care for those with dementia. We also suppo

rt our community through Greenfield Court Care, a highly rated home care service for those who want to stay at home but need a bit of help, and our meals on wheels service which delivers hot, fresh meals to elderly or vulnerable people 5 days a week. Finally, we have our Community Hub, dedicated to serving the local area with support and help.

We did it!!!
Yesterday the Harrogate Neighbours Heroes took on the The Great Knaresborough Bed Race. Not only did the team complete the course, but we came 50th after starting in 77th!! An INCREDIBLE ACHIEVEMENT that we are so proud of!
The team that we had this year came together as one to get a brilliant result, 'overtaking' 27 teams on the course to stampede through the field.
The atmosphere was amazing, the bed looked wonderful, and we had a brilliant time.

"Buon Apetito!" - Our Italian Fine Dining Evening 🍝

What an evening, enjoying a sumptuous array of delicious Italian fare prepared and served by our inhouse staff all of which were dedicated to making the event worthy of the phrase, "La vita è bella." 👏👏👏

Choosing between the mains of wild mushroom risotto or 'tagliata' sirloin steak was a hard decision - both were utterly delicious! 🤔🙂

The tiramisu followed by 'Lemoncello' and coffee were fine finishes to a wonderful evening shared with friends and family - 'perfetto!' 👌🙂🙂🙂

It's Carer's Week 2026!

Members of the family are often the front line of care. The love and support they give to members of their own family that need help often goes unrecognised, and is often unpaid. 🙌🙌🙌

The annual campaigns established by "Carers Week" are held in order to acknowledge the contribution carers make to families throughout the UK. 👏👏👏

Our professional Carers at Harrogate Neighbours can complement the work done by family members by providing scheduled temporary and permanent professional home care visits. 👌🙂

Also, our Day Care Centre provides an entire day of assisted activities, along with hot meals and cups of tea, which can give family members the 'day off' they often need. 🙂

It's Loneliness Awareness Week!

This special week was started by in order to raise awareness of loneliness by inspiring conversation and thereby reducing the stigma surrounding this natural human emotion.

At Harrogate Neighbours we have several services that may help people in our local community:

Our Harrogate Neighbours Community Hub - it's our cafe at 16 High Street, Starbeck. 🙂

Our cafe at The Cuttings, 16 Station View, Starbeck is also open to the public. Come join us for a hot lunch of tea and cake! 🙂

Our Day Care Centre is open on Tuesdays and Thursdays to those wanting an entire day of professional care and fun activities in the company of others. 🙂
