Harrogate Neighbours We provide outstanding care and support services to the elderly in Harrogate and the surrounding areas.

Harrogate Neighbours runs two of the best elderly care homes in Harrogate and the surrounding area. The Cuttings is our extra care housing in Starbeck, which offers independent living and 24 hour support as well as a new Day Care centre for elderly people to come and socialise. Heath Lodge is our residential home in Boroughbridge, which offers additional care for those with dementia. We also support our community through Greenfield Court Care, a highly rated home care service for those who want to stay at home but need a bit of help, and our meals on wheels service which delivers hot, fresh meals to elderly or vulnerable people 5 days a week. Finally, we have our Community Hub, dedicated to serving the local area with support and help.

Veggie Prints! 🥕🥔🍆🍎🍏

Our craft group have been slicing up fruit and vegetables, not to add to their meals or nibble on as snacks but to paint and print! 👩‍🎨👨‍🎨👨🏻‍🎨👩🏻‍🎨

Using the smooth, flat inner surfaces of each vegetable to receive the paint, they added details such as pips with a brush and then printed them on strips of white felt. The felt gave texture to the final prints and made the images, well, good enough to eat! 🍽😂

Heading Towards the Sun - We Have a Winner! 🌻🌞

The weather might have turned overcast, but Michael has won our sunflower competition with his specimen that has not only reached a height over 6 feet from seed but also has multiple flower heads branching out from it single stem. 👏👏👏

We will be launching a brand new CHITTER CHATTER group, which invites people from Harrogate Neighbours and the local community to come together with a hot drink and a slice of cake!
The group session will run from 2-4pm on Tuesdays, and will cost £2 per person. This just helps to cover the cost of the delicious cake!

We've all heard about the "Christmas creep," where Yuletide products seem to be displayed earlier and earlier in the shops, but what about the long-term preparation need for making some of these gifts? 🤔

Our Knit-N-Natter group are already clicking away producing little stockings that will hang together to decorate mantels pieces and walls.

Our Trip to the Seaside at Bridlington! 🌊🌊🌊

We drove out from Heath Lodge to watch the waves and feel the fresh sea air on our faces. 🙂

We had fish and chips Salt on the Harbour where the staff were very friendly and helpful. 👏👏👏

Of course, we had to have some ice cream for dessert! 🍨🍨🍨
