Kin Wellness Devon

Kin Wellness Devon A wellness space with some of the very best practitioners, working together to ensure ongoing health

We are a collective of passionate, skilled therapists with more than 70 years’ combined experience in acupuncture, counselling, massage, beauty, physiotherapy, hypnotherapy, nutrition, readings, aesthetics and relaxation.

Brought together by Ilfracombe Acupuncturist Allie Scott, Kin aims to support you on your path to physical and emotional wellness.

We address a wide range of conditions, fro

m straightforward relaxation to musculoskeletal issues, as well as more intricate psychological and emotional challenges. Our Kin therapists work together to ensure you always find the right person to meet your unique needs and refer both internally and externally to only the most exceptional practitioners.

Unlike most wellness clinics, Kin offers rooms to its therapists at an affordable flat rate. This means some of the best practitioners choose to work here, prioritising client care whilst maintaining the majority of their income.

Kin is a space for all. We’ve worked hard to make it a warm, welcoming and peaceful space with complementary teas and a small shop.

You’re never just a customer to us, you’re part of the collective.

Welcome Gina! We are SO happy to announce that Gina will be bringing her inimitable brand of facial care and aesthetics to Kin from next Tuesday, July 14th and every Tuesday after that! She will be offering facials, microneedling, dermaplaning, polynucleotides, skin boosters, RF skin tightening, Cryopen and B12 vitamin shots. She’s already got bookings for the first day and offers a free half hour consult to see how what she offers could work for your skin. It’s a little late but here’s the pics from our party! It was such a great evening. Even though we’ve only been open a year and it’s flown past we also all feel like we’ve always been here! We love being a part of the community here in Ilfracombe and were so happy so many of you turned up to help us celebrate. Here’s to the next year and many more to come! BIG thanks to all of those who donated prizes - we raised £230 for and also to for hosting and to DJ EmmaC for making it so much fun! 🥳

Tomorrow we’ll be revealing our newest team member! She’ll be starting mid July and we can’t wait! You’ll have to get in quick to book as all the other Kin practitioners are forming a (not very orderly) queue to get in to see her work her magic.

Have a guess what she might be doing….

In Traditional Chinese Medicine, the solstice represents an important shift in the balance of Yin and Yang. The Summer Solstice is considered the peak of Yang energy — warmth, activity, expansion, and vitality. As the days begin to shorten, it also marks the subtle return of Yin energy, reminding us to balance outward action with rest, reflection, and nourishment.
The solstice reminds us that change is constant, light and darkness are both necessary, and every season offers its own gifts. It’s an opportunity to align with nature’s cycles, honour where you are, and welcome the energy of the season ahead.
How will you celebrate this moment of transition? It can be something as small as a deep breath in looking at the sea or a stretch as you get out of bed. Whatever it is, we hope you have a beautiful, sunny solstice ❤️

It’s a day late! But yesterday marked one year of Kin. What started as an idea for 2 rooms for acupuncture has flourished into 3 rooms with 17 practitioners and countless treatments. We’ve built a team and a community, we’ve helped people physically, emotionally and spiritually. We’ve celebrated pregnancies and births and conversely sat and held space with our clients through incredibly tough times.
The plan with Kin was to bring something beautiful but accessible to Ilfracombe, wellness without too much woo woo, with an emphasis on person centred care. I think we’ve done it! What do you reckon?

It’s the little details!
I was lucky enough to have some traditional massages in the Philippines. They were amazing and crazy close to what Lynette offers in the form of her Lomi Lomi here at Kin!

Part of the experience was gazing down at some beautiful artefacts and I wanted to bring that back to Kin - so now, under each massage bed we have an assortment of goodies which will change each time. Just another reason to come see us!

There’s so much wellness gumpf at the moment. My main issue with it is that it puts people off tried and tested methods that REALLY work! Wellness is just doing your best to feel alright in a difficult world. My rituals are almost ALL grounded in the every day - a cup of coffee, sit in the sun, chat to friends, watch Netflix. You don’t have to be meditating, practicing yoga or imbibing ayuhesca to be taking care of yourself. Not saying these things are wrong - just don’t think you need to be doing anything different than everyday things with love and intention. If you’re feeling confused and would like to start looking after yourself better - just drop us a line, we can help you start your journey.
