What a wonderful afternoon we have had ❤️❤️❤️

Thank you so much to “The Bluebirds” who came to sing for our residents today with a fantastic selection of summer holiday songs 🎶 🌞 🥤

The home was filled with music, smiles, and everyone singing along to all the classic seaside and holiday favourites.

It was such a joyful way to bring everyone together and create some lovely summer memories 🍦 👙 🏖️

This afternoon we enjoyed listening to the wonderful sounds of the Saxaphone 🎷 😍🤩

Saxophone music is a regular feature in our home because it's both soothing and uplifting. It helps residents to relax, sparks happy memories, and encourages social connection. Whether it's smooth jazz or a classic swing tune, the saxophone brings warmth and joy to our afternoons.

Music stimulates memory and conversation giving residents chance to share their own memories, lots of toe tapping and smiles ….

Today was all about colour 🌈
Our painting session was full of creativity, conversation and chat… 🎨 🧹

Well done to all our Amazing artists.

Our painting sessions are about more than art. They give residents a chance to relax, express themselves, and enjoy time together.
Painting helps to boost mood, keep minds and hands active, and spark wonderful conversations.

We always love 💕 the interactions that intergenerational activities provide.

Just watching the children playing together and having fun makes us so happy, we love to have a sing song 🎵 🎶 with the children and today was no exception with favourites like old McDonald had a farm and the wheels on the bus, and of course you are my sunshine 🌞

Children's songs work because
they're simple enough for a child ,nostalgic enough for an adult, and repetitive enough that we all remember them.

Today we took one of our residents to a chocolate truffle workshop and it was just the perfect indulgence ❤️❤️

From melting the chocolate to rolling the truffles and adding the toppings, we loved every minute 🍫

The best part of course was bringing them home to share with our friends. we managed to make sure that every resident got to have a taste and we definitely got a BIG thumbs up 👍🏼

Tonights Summer show from Sadie of Strictly Entertainment brought songs from all over the globe.
🤩🤩

From "Viva España" to Slow boat to China and classics from Ireland, America and beyond - it was a musical tour and everyone loved joining in! 🥰❤️😍
We enjoyed a tasty charcuterie supper compliments of our very own Lucy 🧀 🍇 🥩 and a glass of refreshing Summer Fizz 🥂

The singing, the memories, the smiles... what a wonderful evening at Mayfield View… ❤️❤️
